Although having a reputable author and credible sources are important factors of a credible website, the most important aspect of a source is the quality of information it provides. This site contains a lot of information that would be great to use in a cause/effect paper. This site is divided into several sections that make finding information for the different parts of the cause/effect paper easy to find. Students could use the first section, “Tying
Bullying to Traumatic,” in the effects paragraph of a cause/effect essay because this section explains the severe nature of the effects of bullying. In addition, students could use the second section, “Understanding Why Bullying Occurs,” in a causes section, even though this section offers limited information on the causes of bullying. Finally, students could use the third section, “Steps Schools Can Take to Stop Bullying,” in a solutions paragraph because this section offers a number of responses schools can have to bullying problems. The details and information conveyed make this site a strong source for a cause/effect

When doing research and determining which resources are reliable and relevant there is one thing to keep in mind; not all information is created equal. Sure it may not be that dramatic but the bottom line is good information will strengthen your paper; bad information will weaken it.…

With today’s technology, traditional bullies have been able to add a new element in bullying, the Internet. “Cyber bullying adds an entirely new painful dimension to making fun of each other. A Cyber bully is an individual who distributes insults and harsh words over the Internet or any medium of technology.” (Feldman) Adolescents are often involved in cyber bullying because they are going through a transitional period in life and are especially vulnerable to criticism and pressure. Statistics show that nearly 43% of kids have been bullied online, 1 in 4 has had it happen more than once (Graham 2014). 81% of young people think bullying online is easier to get away with than bullying in person (Connolly 2014).
