The Programme
The BSc in Global Business Informatics provides you with knowledge on collaboration, coordination and communication across businesses and continents. IT is constantly creating new business opportunities, but to use them you need both technical and cultural understanding. The BSc in Global Business Informatics focuses on the interaction between IT, people, culture and business, and therefore combines theory and methods from three different disciplines: Technology Business Social Science While we do not expect you to have extensive knowledge of IT, you should be ready to learn and be interested in an education in an international environment. In 2011, 1/4 of students admitted to Global Business Informatics were international students and approx. 1/3 were female students.

Programme Structure
The BSc in Global Business Informatics is a three-year full-time programme divided into six semesters. Each year of the Global Business Informatics programme has an overall theme for both courses and projects. First year (1st and 2nd semester): IT in a social context Second year (3rd and 4th semester): IT in businesses Third year (5th and 6th semester): IT in the global world I T i n a s o c i a l c o n t e x t focuses on the theoretical aspect of how IT has changed the way we interact, work and spend time together. You will learn how to bridge the gap between technology and people, and how to deal with the challenges you face when developing IT solutions. I T i n b u s i n e s s e s deals with organisational theory, basic business understanding, project management and information management. You will learn to develop functional software for the system end-users in an organisation, and you will learn how to make changes in a company to optimise an IT solution. I T i n t h e g l o b a l w o r l d focuses on the advantages and challenges of globalisation. You will deal with the development of IT in a global context with emphasis on cultural and management perspectives. You will, simply put, be working in the cross field between anthropology, sociology and technology. COURSE/PROJECT COURSE COURSE
