When reading Samuel Heilman’s On Being An Insider, I was confusing about the article and I have to reread the article few more times. From what I understand of the article is that Heilman questioned himself and wonder if his understanding and explanations were accurate thinking of he has seen with his experience in the field with William F. Whyte. He was faced with the problem of sharing the information with his readers when people confided in him as they told him that it was between them. It was his responsibility to be true to his discipline because he is a social anthropologist. He decided that if there was something that he needs to learn to demonstrate an idea, he felt that it need to be clarify of the characters of synagogue life even
