Academic Success
Determination and ambition have been the main reasons for my academic success to far. I personally believe that my academic performance would be improved as I would get more time to concentrate on my academic ambitions if I were to be awarded with this scholarship. I am dedicated to my studies and to my community. Receiving this scholarship will help take a lot of weight off my parents’ shoulders, and it will be an advantage to me in achieving my goals.
First of all, I think I am a worthy contender for this scholarship because I am committed, determined, and an intelligent young woman. I’m only 15 years old and graduated from Penn Foster High School with a 3.8 gpa. I am an avid learner who is committed to my studies. I wish to enroll in Penn Foster College’s Construction Technology online degree course. At Penn Foster College, I can earn my associate degree in Construction Technology, specializing in residential and light commercial construction. I hope not only to inspire her, but also other kids in my community. I tutor a little girl in my community. I read and explain bible stories to her and when she has questions or doubts I help her understand. She is an intelligent girl who asks the most thought out questions. I hope to motivate her to become someone important in life. I am currently learning Hmong with an elderly friend who teaches the bible to the people of the Hmong community.
In closing, I truly believe that being awarded this scholarship will greatly benefit me in achieving my academic goals. Not only will I complete college and make my family and friends proud, but I will be helping my community with the skills and knowledge I gain.
