Guidance
Learners must:
Participate in all assessment activities
Fully complete the Assessment Record
Ensure the Assessment Record is signed and dated

Where it clearly states ‘Trainer use only:’ only the trainer/assessor should complete these sections of the Assessment Record. Learners are not permitted to complete trainer/assessor sections.

If any help or support is offered when a learner is completing the assessments, the trainer/assessor must note this in the Assessor Comments column. When all learning outcomes have been completed, the learner, trainer/assessor and internal verifier (where appropriate) should sign the back of the Assessment Record. The trainer/assessor must indicate the result of the assessment.

The Assessment Record must be kept by the centre for a minimum of three years. All Assessment Records are subject to review during external verification activities. Rule of combination: The TQUK Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid (QCF) is made up of two units which must be achieved for learners to be awarded the qualification

Assessment: This unit must be assessed in accordance with Skills for Care and Development's QCF Assessment Principles and the Assessment Principles for First Aid Qualifications ( see Appendices 1 and 2 of the qualification specification).

Simulation is allowed for this unit. Learning Outcomes 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 may be assessed in a simulated environment.
