Measuring the Height of the tree Without Tangent Method
Introduction
“ The height of that tree is 10 ft ”. How people can measure the height of the tree ? Are they knocked down the tree and then measure it ? Or, ask the squirrel how tall the tree ? No, Of course not ! In my mind, I always curious how the people can measure the height of a tree. At this time, I will remove my curiosity and search how people measure the tree. This essay will show you some information how people measure the height of the tree without knocked down the tree and asking the squirrel with natural and un-natural method.
Natural Method. The basic method that you can do to measure the height of a tree directly is measure the tree using a ruler or a measuring tape. This method have advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantage is the accuracy. Therefore, you can do this method during day and night condition. The disadvantages of this method are the unpractical and take a long time to measure the height of the tree using this method. Thus, you need many people to help you measure the height of the tree and it doesn’t efficient. Next method, you can drop your measuring tape from top of the tree. First, you must climb the tree. And then, reach the top of the tree. After you reach the top of the tree, drop your measuring tape. In this method, you must have friend to stay in the ground to measure the height of the tree. The result of this method is very accurate. This method used mostly by professional tree researchers, especially to measure the height of record breaking trees. But this method is very unsafe, because you must climb the tree and it’s very dangerous and full of risk.
Unnatural Method
That’s all about the natural method. Next, I will tell you some unnatural method to measure the height of the tree. First, I will use the shadow method to measure the height of the tree. Here, I will give the step to measure it :
