Maintaining customer loyalty has also been a cornerstone in Apple’s success. Strong customer loyalty drives sales, sustainability, and growth especially in today's economy. Apple must continue to build and maintain excellent customer relationships to stay competitive. Customers are Apple’s greatest asset and it costs much less to retain a current customer than it does to acquire a new one. Therefore, Apple must achieve long-term loyalty to strengthen their market share. I would recommend the following concepts in order for Apple to maintain customer loyalty.
First, they should continue to provide quality customer service. Customer service is very important to the success of Apple and should not be underestimated. Providing quality customer service is more than just getting the customer what they need or want. It is about creating a relationship with your customers so they keep coming back. Customer service includes all aspects of a customer's experience in dealing with Apple’s organization. It also offers competitive advantage for Apple, because the customer has the opportunity to understand all of the product and services Apple has to offer.
Next, Apple could implement a product rebate program. Rebates encourage customer loyalty and are used to entice the customer to make a purchase. This concept is great for the consumer, because you are receiving a product at a discounted price. If a customer feels they are saving money with Apple their more likely to make a future purchase.
Then, a customer incentive program is an initiative designed to give customers a reason to continue using Apple’s products and services. The concept of cheaper goods and services or other benefits created through an incentive program enhances customer loyalty, and creates future purchases. As customers repeatedly use Apples products and services, they will hopefully become loyal customers and form a strong preference for Apple products.
