FORMAT OF LECTURE
• Tuesday Sessions 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm • Wednesday Sessions 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm. • Schedule during Lectures – About 1 hour  LECTURE – 15 min – 20 min  BREAK – About 1 hour  LECTURE

• It is an paired assignment [40%].

ASSIGNMENT

• The assignment essentially requires you to interview three individuals with at least 15 years of career history; and subsequently answer two questions related to information gained from the interviewees and applying your knowledge of the learning from the course and other research you may carry out. • Submission Date for Assignment: Tuesday, 9th Oct 2012 or Wednesday, 10th Oct 2012. • PLEASE READ DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS STATED IN A SEPARATE DOCUMENT POSTED ON edveNTUre ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT. © KAMAL KANT, 2012

ASSIGNMENT
• The answers need to be written as essays.

• The two team members must work together. Past experiences has shown when the two partners work independently, the outcome is a poor grade for this component of the course! • The marked assignments will not be returned. Individual grades or marks will not be given for the assignment. You will receive an overall grade for the entire course. • The penalties for plagiarism, i.e. copying of others’ work [past or present], are severe. © KAMAL KANT, 2012

• Please use the break to meet up with your partner to discuss & work on the assignment. • As lectures will generally end about 30 minutes before the scheduled time, please optimise your time to discuss your assignment with your partner or for consultation with me regarding assignments or topic presented during lecture. • There are no tutorials for this course. © KAMAL KANT, 2012

WORKING IN THE 21st CENTURY
• Exam (60%)  Written examination requiring essay type response. Four questions out of six. All questions will be in two parts. • Past exam papers are posted on Library website as a sample of the examination paper to expect. [HSS  Psychology  Year 1  HP802/HP8002] • Knowledge of entire course required. • Good answers require content from recommended & prescribed readings, too
