Will robots and humanoids take over the world?
Three main uses for the creation of A.I (Artificial Intelligence) are worker robots, prosthetics and entertainment humanoids or toys. Online Dictionary.com explains the definition for A.I as: “The branch of computer science that deal with writing computer programs that can solve problems creatively; "”workers in AI hope to imitate or duplicate intelligence in computers and robots."
In the 21st century we have the privilege of living in one of the most exciting times for the technology that is arising.. Mundane jobs that were hard or too dangerous on the human body are now being handed over to worker drones or bots. No more will you have to put up with the complaining husband dragging in after being bent over car after car in the garage for a living. Many car manufacturers in Tokyo Japan have been using robotic arms to weld and build car parts. Towards the end of 1999 the amount of robotic arms in manufacturing companies was close to 743,000 according to World Robotics 2000, produced by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in cooperation with the International Federation of Robotics Human workers for the plant welcome the help of the robotic arms and do not see it as a threat to their jobs. No one should contemplate heavy and repetitive lifting by hands these days when robots can improve both working conditions and productivity," says Mike Wilson, IFR chairman. "There are many industries that should move toward automation, particularly in view of the ever more stringent legislation in most industrialized countries regarding manual handling in the workplace."
