Why Veterans Are Considered Heroes
Veterans are considered heroes because they fight for our freedom. The veterans don’t have to fight for our freedom, but they do. They risk the lives for us and all we do is disrespect and treat them like they're nothing and yet they still go out there and risk their lives for us. Did you know that 22 veterans commit suicide each day. Why, well it's because they feel like they're nothing and the have know on to go to and in their eyes the only way to end this suffering is to die. I got this information from the V.F.W in May26, 2016. There website is www.vfw.org/. They also made a cause called the 22 which helps out the veteran that are struggling and the families that lost there soldier because of suicide . So you need to give respect to all

But it seems to me that we marshal this word in a way that is problematic.” Hayes uses the phrase, “genuine, tremendous heroism” which implies that soldiers have to do more than just fight to be heroes. They have to do more than risk their lives and put everything on the line by just going to war. The standard definition of a hero is a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
