There are many different dogs to choose from. Depending on what breed a dog is, they vary in their size, weight, abilities, and lifespan. For example, Great Danes can possibly be over 2 feet tall when standing on all four legs, and can weigh up to around 200 pounds. Despite their size, they only live around 7 to 10 years. An example of a smaller dog is a Chihuahua. They can be 6 to 9 inches tall when it’s fully grown and weigh about 3 to 6 pounds. They may be small, but they can live from 10 to 18 years on average.
