Why Cats Are Better Than Dogs
When it comes to picking between cats and dogs, most people would choose dogs. Some people do not like cats because of the bad reputation they receive from owners or strangers; bad temper and they are not as affectionate like a dog. I don't think that is true. I think both cats and dogs are affectionate and caring once you give them a chance but which animal is more caring? Cats and dogs have different personality traits, but let's see which animal is more affectionate. Dogs are known to be man's best friend. They are loving, caring, and are always protective over their owner. Some people say when you have a newborn in your home a dog will pretend the baby is theirs and will protect the baby forever. That seems nice of a dog to do this, but …show more content…
They can be loving and caring but most of the time they want to be on their own. That doesn't mean that they don't care or love you. Even though a cat may show less affection than a dog, a cat loves you as much as a dog does. Cats are just as cute and adorable as a dog or just any other animal. Just like dogs, cats love to be with their owner and believe it or not they also enjoy a nice belly rub. One thing that some people do not know about cats is that when a cat is purring at you or walking around you, it is thanking you for being in their life. A dog may not be able to purr to tell you thank you, but they also love you for being in their life as well. Most people believe that a cat is just an animal that doesn't care about their owner. That also is not true. Cats are known to check up on humans when they are asleep because they want to make sure you are still breathing. Can a dog do this? Dogs do not check up on you during your sleep, but if something is happening to you they will make sure to bark as loud as they can get someone's attention. I think both cats and dogs are affectionate and caring once you give them a chance. Which animal shows most affection? Both animals do, a cat just chooses to show affection less. Both animals love you and will always protect you over any danger. Cats may have a bad reputation because of people that do not like cats, but they are loving and caring just like a dog or any other

“And very little is known about these free-ranging, village dogs.” His team rectified that by collecting blood samples from 549 village dogs in 38 countries across 6 continents. “I did my Ph.D. work with tropical butterflies; by comparison, working with dogs is fantastic,” he adds. “You don’t need to hunt them down with a net. You show up, you have food, there are dogs.” (http://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2015/10/genetic-study-writes-yet-another-origin-story-for-dogs/411196/) Dogs have always been considered “Mans Best Friend.” However that title has barely lived up to it’s name when there are still dogs all around the world that get abused and murdered by their owners. Dogs who get dropped off in the middle of nowhere because their owners just can’t keep up with them anymore. Dogs who are euthanized because they’ve been in the pound so long and there is no hope for them to ever be rescued, may that be because of old age or even a history of biting people. Dogs are not born monsters, humans created the idea. Dogs may hurt you because of their past experiences with lousy…

Behaviour in pets can tell you a lot about what they are feeling, and they’re different mannerisms can help you find out what they need. And this is how humans and their pets coexist in a household. For instance; Which way a dog wags its tail and the speed in which he does it, can tell what he is feeling, depending on the situation it’s in. British anthrozoologist John Bradshaw in Cat Sense states that, "An upright tail is probably the clearest way cats show their affection for us" (McCaffery). A raised tail is also usually a sign of friendliness toward another cat. The opposite, of course, is when cats lower and thrash their tails. It generally means they're irritated and dislike something that's occurring around them. The relationship you form with your pets is something only you two share. Different ways dogs and cats let themselves be heard in a household, is original to that particular household. And it forms a human to pet connection that only you two…

Dogs are better then cats because dogs are more obedient and do more things then cats. For example, dogs can be taught to retrieve and put away items or objects of your choice. They also have a lot of excitement, they are incredible friendly if you teach them properly, and they actually do something good for you other then sitting around and being cute. Dogs need to be potty trained but so do cats need to be potty trained. Cats can have incredibly destructive habits. Dogs can too but in this case with dogs you can actually do something and teach the dogs to not rip the couch apart, or if they do then they get a punishment. In this case you are 10x more likely to teach a dog to go retrieve a object or shoe of some sort, but cats can’t really…

When having a pet, protection is a good thing to have from its presence. The protection dogs have to offer is way different from a cat. Dogs are built up to be protectable creatures because of its body mass and sharp teeth that could bite a hole in the bad person’s skin. Along with its loud bark, a dog can alarm its owner of danger. Cats aren’t the type of animals for protection in case of any danger. These small creature’s body mass isn’t big enough to size up a big person. Cats…

A difference between cats and dogs are the different ways they hunt. As hunters cats are physically remarkable and unique. From the smallest housecat to the wild big cat they are physically suited as exceptional hunters. Their eyes are suited to pick up even the slightest movement. Also, they have excellent night time vision. However, details of an object or its color may not be that clear. Their hearing and sense of smell are also perfectly suited for a hunter. Cats have extraordinary flexibility, and excellent running and jumping capabilities. As group hunters dogs are physically different than cats. Dogs are often best suited for finding prey. One of the most remarkable canine skills is its tracking ability. This can be seen in many working dogs that use their tracking abilities for search and rescue, or to detect specific substances. This shows both a remarkable nose and an ability to be trained, along with a desire to please, while cats have a desire to please themselves. Most dogs also have…

They would either attack the intruder if you taught them to do that or they would start barking and wake you up. What if there was a fire in your house and you didn’t know? Your dog could bark and wake you up so that you could get out of your house in time. If you had a cat all they would do is escape themselves and you would burn to pieces. Same thing if there was an intruder in your house they would just get out themselves and leave you to die.…

In conclusion, both cats and dogs are known for being great household companions. The decision between the two for an owner should depend on lifestyle choices, budget constraints, and the size of their living space (both indoors and outdoors). If the owner selects a new pet without considering these things, the animal may not properly be cared for, and the owner may face behavior issues from their new friend. Choosing a new pet can be a difficult task, but when all of these things are considered, it makes the choice a little…

Some people claim that “cats don’t disturb” I for one believe that is incorrect. There have been many cases of cats breaking objects, scratching at furniture, and just lingering around getting in you’re way proving cats do disturb. There have also been cases of people claiming that cats are easy to care for because all you need to do is give them food. My response to that is basically that you don’t need them as a pet. If you just give them food what is the point of caring for them, nurturing them, and them loving you proving another point that ctas are horrible and lazy. As you can see these reasons being clearly prove that cats are atrocious and horrible…
