Argumentative Essay On Why Dogs Are Better Than Cats
Do you love dogs… so do I! Dogs are so loyal and loving for many reasons that can be from licking your face at home or saving a child’s life from a kidnapper. Cats on the other hand have been claimed to be very quiet and not disturbing (basically lazy). Although there have been many cases of scratched furniture and broken glass from cats. As you will see dogs are clearly better than cats! Dogs have been around as far back as 15,000 years ago domesticated. Clearly having dogs as pets for 15,000 years has proven that dogs are obviously better than cats (domesticated only 4,000 years ago). Dogs have been used in many things one including from the 1920s ‘till now and beyond in the military. Dogs have been in the military for as far back as WWI (1914-1918) fighting in warfare and detecting bombs, weapons, etc. In 1957 Soviet Russia had used dogs for their space program to be sent to space because they are so awesome. Dogs don’t just do cool tasks but also are loving as there is cases of 10,000 guide dogs today in the U.S helping Disabled families and communities. If you haven’t been persuaded that dogs are amazing that is okay but from this evidence one can see Dogs are clearly the …show more content…
Some people claim that “cats don’t disturb” I for one believe that is incorrect. There have been many cases of cats breaking objects, scratching at furniture, and just lingering around getting in you’re way proving cats do disturb. There have also been cases of people claiming that cats are easy to care for because all you need to do is give them food. My response to that is basically that you don’t need them as a pet. If you just give them food what is the point of caring for them, nurturing them, and them loving you proving another point that ctas are horrible and lazy. As you can see these reasons being clearly prove that cats are atrocious and horrible

They can be loving and caring but most of the time they want to be on their own. That doesn't mean that they don't care or love you. Even though a cat may show less affection than a dog, a cat loves you as much as a dog does. Cats are just as cute and adorable as a dog or just any other animal. Just like dogs, cats love to be with their owner and believe it or not they also enjoy a nice belly rub. One thing that some people do not know about cats is that when a cat is purring at you or walking around you, it is thanking you for being in their life. A dog may not be able to purr to tell you thank you, but they also love you for…

I read the article “Cats are funnier than Dogs”, written by Jesse David Fox. In this article, Jesse gave an idea that cats are more humorous and explained her opinion. The “funny” or “humorous” is based on cat’s characteristics. Cat is more self-centered. Different from other pets or animals, they think themselves are nobler and not willing to be demeaned. Therefore, cats are not very willing to obey order like dogs and making choice brilliantly and cleverly. For instance, Jesse said cats knew how to run away by flushing the toilet. Comparing with cats, Dogs are more loyal, obedient and friendly. They more like you friends and even your part of family. Because they listen to you and actually care about you. I have two dogs and my sister have…

Who would ever in their right mind want a cat as a pet? Cats are the most conniving animals alive and no one should even think to keep them as a pet. There are some people who have a large number of cats in their house at one time and continue adding to the number and that is just ridiculous. Cats can carry around a foul smell or odor and shed their hair which gets everywhere it should not be. There is also a lot of money that can be involved with investing in supplies, health and food for a cat. If anyone has a cat for a pet they should be ready to take full responsibility of the cat and all of the downfalls…

Most people doing this are blind to the fact that it is hurting their cat and taking away something essential to their safety and living a comfortable and happy life. The main reason people declaw cats is because they scratch their furniture, walls, and any other household object. There are many very easy solutions to this. 1: Train your cat to not scratch things or hire someone to train your cat. 2: Buy your cat a scratching post. 3: Don’t buy a cat if your worried it will scratch your furniture. And once again in the end cat’s are born with claws and as humans we have NO right to take them…

For years people have been disagreeing about which is better cats or dogs. I think dogs are a whole lot better. One reason I like dogs better is because dogs can work as service dogs. They are trained to assist people with physical disabilities. Tasks that service dogs can do are helping with pulling wheelchairs, opening doors, and picking up objects as small as a dime. Service dogs help the disabled. Service dogs work with people that have disabilities such as Diabetes, MS, Cancer, Autism and Epilepsy.…

Humans, for a number of purposes, have utilized dogs since the beginning of time. In fact, the canine was the first domesticated animal. Dogs are a subspecies of the grey wolf, which is known as one of the most efficient hunting and tracking animals. Since its domestication, the dog has been the most widely used and kept working, hunting, and pet animal in history. The dog breeds that we have today are for the most part, relatively new. Even though dogs were domesticated thousands of years ago, most breeds are only a few hundred years old. In that time, breeders have pushed out the behaviors that are undesirable to the customer and bred purposely to keep certain characteristics. Through this breeding, the subspecies has been diversified…

Dogs protect our livestock, homes, and children. They detect bombs, lead the blind, and track criminals and the stranded alike. Some tow boats to shore. Others race across fields in search of game. Some dogs flush, retrieve, or point. Others herd, gather, drive, or drove. Some dogs pull sleds, taking us where we could never go alone. Others sniff out drugs, detect heart attacks, or listen to sounds in the forest we could never hear. Some dogs fill stewpots while luckier ones sit on cushions in royal halls. Look at any picture or literature of any class in the history of Man, and there is a dog. They are heroes and villains. They are lab rats and show stock. Some dogs go off to war for us, while others simply let us hold them until we can’t cry anymore. They have helped us live, work, and eat, and in this relationship both of our species have exploded in populations and prominence. While such population explosions come with their problems, the numbers don’t lie.…

    Dogs vs. Cats

For the years that we have been living we all have come to realize that dogs are more trainable than cats. Canines have been trained to care for their owners, fetch news papers and some are trained as watch dogs for the blind. Others are close in social status to a Deputy – sometimes referred to as Deputy Dogs. This is pretty remarkable to think that we have dogs that are capable of recognizing and, attacking criminals, identifying drugs and placing criminals under arrest. In most cases we have dogs that are trained to be remarkable house dogs. Dogs have been trained over the years to perform entertaining tricks such as, roll over, fetch, shake hand and even play dead. There are many dogs which have developed bad habits. Special attention and training programs have been developed to assist dogs in shaking these bad habits. These bad habits include, biting, chewing on furniture and rugs, digging holes, barking consistently without apparent reason and most of all, house soiling. Cats on the other hand belong to the feline family and are not as trainable as dogs. There is just a significant limit to their training. Yes they are able to be home trained - to prevent house soiling, but to prevent them from damaging your furniture with their claws, you basically have to clip the claws. When cats are kept as pets, they become attached to their human…
