Who Is Jim Brown?
In the 60s the Browns were the best team in football. They won all of the AFC championships. Thats before there were Superbowls. To me there best player back then was a running back named Jim Brown. Jim Brown was born february, 17, 1936. He set a lot of records for the Browns when he played. He held the records for the most rushing yards with 12,312 for his career, and held the single season record with 1,863 yards. He only averaged 5.22 yards per carry, but he made every yard count. He also had 106 touchdowns.

Jim Brown was drafted to the Browns in 1957. When he was drafted everyone knew hw was the man. They he was just the last piece of the puzzle to start winning, and they did. Not only was he the best player on the team, but he was a

He retired in the peek of his career. He had no major body or head injuries. He went on the do a lot for the communities and for the game of football. He also went on and did a little acting. He stared in a couple low budget movies. Made a couple guess appearance on a couple tv shows. At 79 he is still up and moving and still showing mad love for his favorite team the Cleveland Browns.

I would even take the team for the 80s era. When we were known as the kardiac Kids. we had a decent team back then at 10-6. We had great players then like Bernie Kosar, Earnest Byner, Webster Slaughter, and even Eric Metcalf. They were not Hall of Famers, but they played decent football together. I remember they made it to the playoffs, and was playing to make it to the championship, and Earnest Byner fumbled the ball in the end zone and we lost. Thats when the Browns statred goin down hill.

It also did not help when Art Moddell took the team to make them the Balitimore Ravens. That really left Cleveland in a bad place. That almost made a lot of fans give up on the Browns, and we are die hard fans. So when they brought them back in 1999 it was on!! We just knew that the Cleveland dynasty was back, but it seemed to be the curse of the Cleveland

We have had bad coaches and quarterbacks, but we should stick with one. The only quarterback we should have stuck with was Brian Hoyer. He was born and raised in the Cleveland area, and his dream was to play for the Cleveland Browns. Brian Hoyer was the second string quaterback behind Brandon Weeden. When Weeden sucked so bad they decided to bring in Hoyer, and he took us to a 2 game winning streak. On the 3rd game, us winning Hoyer hurt himself getting us the first down. He hurt a season ending injury to his leg. The fans were so happy we finally got a quarterback that we could not wait until next

Ultimately, the Browns added a versatile defender who has recorded 43 tackles in seven games. He instantly joins fellow linebackers Kirksey (72) and DaMario Davis (52) as Cleveland's leading tacklers. He hopes to cut down on all the scoring. Not a single opposing team that Cleveland has faced has scored less than 25 points. It's almost impossible for the Browns to do any…

In 1956 the Newark Panthers were established in NFL the first draft pick of the Newark Panthers was Luke Williams quarterback (QB) out of Clemson. After that they got a wide receiver (WR), a linebacker (LB) and some other positions. The Newark Panthers were always the underdogs and this is about the time they won the Super Bowl. They always had good players but, they could never work together “bad chemistry”. Luke WIlliams was a superstar at quarterback he always threw dots (a good throw) however, the defense on the other team always intercepted the football. So mainly Luke Williams just ran the football or handed it off to their running back (RB) Marshall Faulk.…

On August 11, 1919, Curly Lambeau and George Calhoun gathered young athletes from around the area, in a close editorial room of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, to discuss the creation of a professional football team. Several weeks before, in a casual street-corner conversation, they had discussed the idea, but hadn’t given it much thought. From that room, one of the proudest and most storied NFL franchise.…

Despite the lingering cultural and political dispute over the name Redskins, I personally do not think there is any negative implication in using it as the name of Washington’s professional football team. On the contrary, not only is Redskins a name that reflects the positive attributes of the American Indian, but it also represents the competitive spirit of the game of football.…

With the fourth pick in the 1975 NFL draft, the Chicago Bears selected Walter Payton. Paytons career began with a less-than-stellar performance. In his first NFL game, Walter carried the ball eight times for zero net yards. Although 1975 began with a performance that wasn't worth writing home about, the season finale did. At New Orleans Walter ripped off perhaps the best touchdown run of career, finishing with 134 yards on 20 carries. Walter finished the rookie season with 679 yards and seven touchdowns, the lowest total of his football career. Also, the biggest letdown of his career occurred that season, as Payton was held out of the only game he would miss in 13 seasons. Not because he couldn't play, but because they wouldnt let him. Walter topped 1,000 yards and scored 13 touchdowns in 1976, and was voted the Most Valuable Player in 1977. Chicago went to the playoffs after the '77 season, which led to a 275-yard game by #34, which stood as the best single game performance in the NFL until it was surpassed by three yards in 2000. It was during the years 1976-1981 that the Bears became defined by Walter Payton. Jokes circulated that their game plan was as simple…

When he played for his high school basketball team he was the leading scorer, and earned the name "Prime Time." After his four years playing for his high school team, it was time to start looking for a college. Since he wanted his mother to come see him play, his first pick of colleges was Florida State. He had great careers in all the sports he played in. Before his senior year at Florida State University (FSU), the Yankees took him, so he played professional baseball while in college. While he was in college he decided he would stay away from cursing. So every time he cursed he would pay someone 5 bucks. In 1989 he was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round.…

Sports are an intimate part of many people’s lives. Without it, many of us would not share certain relationships or bonds with people who like it as much as we do. Football is indeed my favorite sport to watch. From the touchdown dances to seeing a favorite player break a record, football is intense, exciting, and amusing to watch. Football teams can define the character of certain regions and places (Sports and Recreation, 2004). In good old Minnesota, we “bleed purple” and love our Minnesota Vikings. Although the Vikings have never won the Super Bowl, we still love them regardless because of their hard work and dedication to the sport and to the fans. The whole organization behaves in a manner that keeps the fans coming back for more, as do other National Football League teams around the United States. The National Football League and its teams need to have spot-on organizational skills. If there is not proper organizational…
