1. What are the most important factors in determining how a child turns out as an adult? Two main factors from personal experience and fom teachings such as sociology and psychology are parents and the families income. Parents always play a key role in their children and the way they raise them has been shown to have dramatic impact on their children's lives. A permissive parent’s child has been proven to often have a harder time in sociey. In addition, children who lack parents wheather it be both or just one also have a higher chance to not being a contributing member of society from what i’ve learned in sociology. What roles do “nature” and “nurture” play in human development? Both nature and nurture play a tremendous yet role on how children will end up as when they become adults. Nature can effect if a child is born with a chemical imbalance that akes him act a certain way such as men and women with high levels of testosterone are known for being naturally more agressive than their counterparts with lower lltestosterone. On the other hand nurture also can undermine the influences genetics has on children. How do children learn to regulate their behaviors? Children learn to regulate their behavioours by excercising them all. It is only natuaral for a baby to get angry or sad and letting them cry and get their feelings out is a good way to start teaching them on regulating their behaviour. I believe they learn to regulate them on their own and at the start of a tantrum one shouldn’t punish them as then they will stop excersising their emotions and won’t learn to regulate their emotions on their own.
8. What is the influence of peer groups on children? Peer groups at around middle school and high school can have a greater effect on childrens than their own parents from what I’ve learned from phycology and sociology. As they ecome more independent they dont rely on their parents as often but the peer groups that they are around during school which influence them and their behaviour wheither it be good or bad.
9. If children have challenges in their early lives (for example, alcoholism in the family, poverty, abuse or neglect, and the like) does this mean that they are going to have difficulties later? If so, what kind of difficulties and why? If not, why not? Children who faced a hard childhood have and unfair disadvantage than those who lived without problems such as alcoholism and poverty. Children who were raised in these conditions are very likly to carry their parents struggles with them. If their parents were poor it is very likely that they would also be poor and likewise
