What Does Cross Country Mean To Me
Cross country means a lot to me. I have a lot of crazy memories from cross country and I’m only half way through high school. Cross country has meant the most to me because it is fun, builds character, and gets me in shape.
Cross country has meant the most because it is very fun. We have a lot of fun and different practices. For conditioning week we do some fun activities, Like we do a scavenger hunt by running around town taking pictures of the landmarks from the clues. Also we run our respective course. To end our conditioning week we go frolfing at McNish which is very fun. Are team also has a lot of fun practices, like some days we run to Moody’s which is about a 6 mile run. One of the most fun practices is Homecoming morning, where we run around the track doing rabbit runs while listening to our choice of music.

During cross country everyone become more self-disciplined by pushing themselves to do better, finish, and not give up. It also builds their responsibility because they have to be responsible enough to take care of their body. Also people have to be responsible enough to stay out of trouble and keep their grades up. People have to have drive to stay in condition.
Cross country gets me in shape. Because it is builds my endurance. It also gets my stamina up. So therefore i am ready to take on the basketball season. It keeps everyone from getting obese. Therefore that is another reason why cross country has meant the most to me.
It is fun, builds character, and gets me in shape, therefore that is why cross country has meant the most to me. I have had some fun experiences in cross country. I will always cherish these memories from cross country and will continue to make more memories in my two final years of cross

Both being team sports I am surrounded by people whether I'm at practice or at a game/tournament. I am an experienced volleyball player and very commonly get asked questions about the skills required to play the sport such as hitting, passing, or setting, all of which I can answer. Answering those questions to the best of my ability is a goal of mind so that the other athlete can get a better understanding of what to do. In cross country, positivity is a big part of the sport since you're with such a big team. Keeping positivity when talking to the incoming freshmen is a huge part of this club since you want them to have the best time that they can have while they are at…

Being a team member on my school's cross country team was my most meaningful extracurricular activity. Though I would be a liar if I called myself an amazing runner, running cross country meant so much more to me than just PRs. I learned how to be a team player, how to connect with others different from myself, and how to push through both difficulty and pain. Through my experiences with running, I was able to cultivate my own personal sense of motivation and determination. I learned that nothing can truly be achieved without hard work.…

Being that I was always considered a chubby kid during my adolescence and preteens, I was very surprised when a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to join the cross country team with him. My first thought was, “Yeah, right”, but I decided to give it a try. That was one of the best decisions of my life. I played many other sports, but the running was never my strong point. However, during my first cross country season, I quickly learned to love the sport of running. Running gave me confidence I never had. I learned to step out of my comfort zone and push myself beyond my own limitations. There were also many unforeseen benefits to running. I found it to be a great stress reliever and it brought me to…

There are numerous reasons why cross-country is an amazing sport. One reason is we do tons of bonding activities, unlike many other sports. In the past, we have done bowling, a retreat at Turtle River, and movie night. Also, everyone is so thoughtful and caring. For example, when running a race, teammates cheer, even for the last runner. Coaches and teammates are there to congratulate runners when crossing the finish line. The last reason on why cross-country is an amazing sport is because it teaches how to take care of your body and gets you staying active. An example would be we have practice every day, we may not run every day, but we are always moving in some way. We also talk about nutrition and how to take care of our bodies when we…

Meeting the people whom I met and learning the things in which I learned are all great memories. But two things I’ll never forget as a teen were my two best hobbies and they were, playing basketball and running track. I really enjoyed playing basketball because I had the body statue for it and because it’s a very competitive sport. Now track on the other hand, was somewhat a lot more difficult for me. Even though I never was as fast as the other runners I really enjoyed traveling alongside the team and the joy of running fast and having the rush of the wind blow in my fast was an excellent feeling. My hobbies really helped me to cope with a…

Cross Country is a sport that requires determination and both mental and physical strength. Cross country is often looked over, but is one of the most challenging, and grueling sports I know of. I learned many things when I started going to the practices, I needed to learn how to persevere, to run through the pain. Running is a sport that basically describes taking on challenges, because the more you push yourself and the more work you put in, the more you succeed, and that’s life. While cross country is not the most desirable sport for most, somehow I have continued to take on the challenge of running another year. I never quite know what the season has in store for me, but I know I will overcome the struggles. For I am not one to stray when things get tough. Not only does challenging yourself improve your athletics, but it shapes your future. In fifth grade I took the challenge upon myself to volunteer, I wanted to make a difference. I chose to give up two recesses a week to help my favorite teacher, Mrs. Pawlowski. Now, giving up your recess in fifth grade was a big deal, for not many kids wanted to give up their recess. But, I loved my previous teacher dearly, and I wanted…
