Cross Country Is An Amazing Sport
There are numerous reasons why cross-country is an amazing sport. One reason is we do tons of bonding activities, unlike many other sports. In the past, we have done bowling, a retreat at Turtle River, and movie night. Also, everyone is so thoughtful and caring. For example, when running a race, teammates cheer, even for the last runner. Coaches and teammates are there to congratulate runners when crossing the finish line. The last reason on why cross-country is an amazing sport is because it teaches how to take care of your body and gets you staying active. An example would be we have practice every day, we may not run every day, but we are always moving in some way. We also talk about nutrition and how to take care of our bodies when we

Running has many different aspects of workouts and forms. Outsiders of the sport make assumption that cross country and track seem similar, but in reality they’re different. Both deal with running, but the majority of the differences between the sports differentiate between the workouts, the actual meets, and the team oriented aspects between the two. Comparisons made by spectators report that if a runner enjoys cross country, then the runner should go out for track since it has long distance events as well. Even though track has long distance events it doesn’t change the fact the two sports differ from each other.…

People always ask "What is the difference between Cross Country and Track, all you do is run, is there a difference?" Just because both of these sports have to do with running doe not mean that they are the exact same. I agree there are some similarities in the two but there are also a lot of differences. To know the differences you have to have some experience and or knowledge of the sports. The reason I know how they are similar and different is because I participate in both sports for many years.…

All of those practices lead up to meets that are typically after school or on Saturdays. Cross country meets take place at golf courses, parks, or at schools. While in track it always takes place at a track. A typical cross country meet lasts three to five hours while a track meet lasts slightly longer than track, typically lasting five to six hours. The big difference between a track meet and cross country meets are that during track meets spectators typically stay in one place. Then in cross country spectators run to different spots where they can see the runners. There are even similarities and differences between the actual races. For both I start to warm up 30 min before the race starts. I start by running for five minutes and then go and stretch for the rest of the time until the race starts. The order of events in cross country is JV boys, JV Girls, Varsity boys, and then Varsity girl. The order of who races first switches each year. Then in track, the order of events are almost always the same, regardless of the meet. Plus in track, runners go in heats, unlike cross…

Ten years ago, my favorite pastime, and still to this day, is to run and compete in track and cross country. Back when my grade school had recess,my classmates and i would compete by running from one side of the field to the other mainly to see who happened to be the fastest of the classes but also to show the coaches what we were capable of doing so in a near future they could assign us a spot in the elementary track team. This is where my passion for running ignited. The adrenaline that rushed through my veins when i ran had a satisfying feeling, especially when i came out in the lead by a few meters. Ten years later, after winning countless cross country and track meets, that same feeling flows like a river as if the rivers were my veins.…

They can teach you many things that you never thought you were capable of doing. For instance, triathlons help balance your life. Triathlons help with this by when training for a triathlon it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. According to Matt Fitzgerald, “Endurance athletes have found many creative ways to fit training into a tight schedule. Ride your bike to work. Invest in a treadmill and run on it in the evening while your kids play nearby. Take the family to the lake or pool and swim while your spouse watches the kids, then switch places and let your spouse have his/her turn” (Fitzgerald). This is important to fitting training into life because if you can’t your triathlon experience you be hectic and miserable. This brings up the point said by Dr. Jim Taylor, “Chill out and keep cool and race your best” (Taylor). This is such an important thing to remember while training and while racing because if you get really stressed out than you won’t perform your best and you won’t have a good race. Balancing everything that goes into a triathlon with life is extremely important because if you don’t balance everything with your everyday schedule you are probably setting yourself up for…

High school cross country is one of the simplest sports in existence. All you do is run! You run at practice to get faster race times. There is only one event for varsity, the five kilometer race. You warm-up, head up to the starting line, wait for the gun, then race. My first experience with cross country was my freshman year in high school. The year before that I participated in track and ran the 800m and the 1600m events. I found that I preferred long distance events and wanted to continue to run. Before I started high school the next year, I decided I would try something new. I knew I needed to push myself out of my comfort zone. When high school started I signed up for cross country. I was very nervous and honestly I didn’t want to do…

What I do in my free time is ride longboards, shoot, hunt, fish, and even gold mine. I love the outdoors I hate being stuck inside and around a lot of people. When I go hunting I go out to Nebraska, I have 60 acers of land out there and I go turkey hunting with my dad every year, I hope to hunt moose and caribou up in the Alaskan wilderness.…

Prior to creation as a modern state in 1947, the area of modern Pakistan was both ruled by local kings and under numerous imperial power throughout different time periods. The ancient history of the region comprising present-day Pakistan also includes some of the oldest empires from the subcontinent[1] and some of its major civilizations.[2][3][4][5] By the 18th century the land was incorporated into British India. The political history of the nation began with the birth of the All India Muslim League in 1906 to protect "Muslim interests, amid neglect and under-representation" and to oppose Congress and growing Indian nationalism in return the British Raj would decide to grant local self-rule. On 29 December 1930, Sir Muhammad Iqbal called for an autonomous new state in "northwestern India for Indian Muslims".[6] The League rose to popularity in the late 1930s. Muhammad Ali Jinnah espoused the Two Nation Theory and led the League to adopt the Lahore Resolution[7] of 1940, demanding the formation of independent states in the East and the West of British India. Eventually, a united Pakistan with its wings – West Pakistan and East Pakistan – gained independence from the British, on 14 August 1947. After a civil war, the Bengal region of East Pakistan, separated at a considerable distance from the rest of Pakistan, became the independent state of Bangladesh in 1971.…
