Vinh Le-Personal Narrative Analysis
Vinh Le - Essay
Our family, along with the majority of our cousins, were all driving to Florida. We packed our bags the night before, and got as much sleep as we could before waking up early in the morning.
Our stops were planned; routes were plotted out and hotels marked on digital maps. My uncle rented out a large SUV for all of us to drive in, and so began our journey. We had clothing for a week’s vacation, and had packed food to last as long as possible. We set off, planning to drive through the states of the south-eastern border of America to get there, stopping along the way in each state for some pictures and such.
As we drove, we spent many hours playing car games or wasted time on our mobile devices, taking pictures of each other, and seeing who could stay awake the longest. We often slept through the trips, drifting in and out of consciousness. The time spent not sleeping was mostly catching up on recent events that happened in our lives, such as gossip or the daily Asian news, or viewing the landscapes, most of which was either bare agrarian land or endless miles of roads, weaving in and out like a spider’s web.
We stopped at multiple hotels along the way, only staying for about a night’s sleep before heading off again, of course taking some pictures for

We visited locations such as aquariums and museums along the way, and while it wasn’t the first time any of us had seen it before, still it was a nice sight to see after hours of plain dirt and grass. Of course, throughout the trip, there were a few bits of argument on whether or not we should stop or press forward, but we all made it in one piece. My trip is similar to the Watson’s, although while it may have had its differences, it was relatable in many ways. To start off, in both events, we both drove to our locations to save

In the summer of 1803, a twenty-eight year old Virginian was preparing to lead a field expedition into some of the most rugged wilderness on the North American Continent. It would be a perilous undertaking. The platoon traveled by boat, horse and foot for approximately 8,000 miles- venturing beyond maps, traveling into the headwaters of the great Missouri river, across the fearsome Rocky Mountains, and through the unforgiving western plains. The crew explored an undiscovered route to the pacific and back; encountering cold, hunger, danger, and wonders beyond belief. No expedition had ever attempted such an arduous undertaking, no one thought it was possible.…

Started our expedition on the top of a hill, near a cafe/ pub which is where we found the litter; a box of beers. Apart from that the route was very difficult to navigate at first because the footpaths were almost non-existent. Furthermore, because of the remote location there was little disruption to the land, grass grew long, wild and marshes were hard to spot. There were few fields for cattle and many times our group had to take bearings because any signs, footprints and the footpath were not visible. This was probably the most physically challenging day as there were many hills and inclines.…

Before we left home for the trip, there were lots of preparations to be made. First, we took some time researching different things on the internet. My mom looked up the easiest driving route and estimated the cost of our trip. My siblings and I each had to dig up our passports and travel bags to take with us on the trip. While my mom took care of the practical side, my sisters and I had fun looking up different fun things to do at Niagara Falls. We each one wanted to do something different. I was interested in the shopping areas, while one of my sisters was looking at the different restaurants, and another was researching all of the different landmarks. Once we picked a day to go, we had our car checked out to make sure everything would be fine for the long drive. Afterwards, we stopped at the store to buy snacks and other things we might need. At this point, the only thing left to do was pack. This was probably the hardest part of preparing for the trip just because there were so many of us.…

We didn’t have special route, we were just driving. It was a sunny, warm day. Everything seemed to me more beautiful that day than ever. Passing by, we noticed some sign of point of interest, but didn’t pay attention at first. But when we saw about seven cars parked along the road, we decided to stop by and check what made all these people stop here. We parked our car and walked along the narrow path leading through the wood to the attractive place.…

On November 1st 1985 I descended from my families little cabin in the woods and walked out the door for the last time. It was the day I walked on my own as a new adult. Travel became not just an idea, but a way of life. First came California with its redwood trees and clear blue lakes. I lived the early years of my life at Kings Beach, Lake Tahoe. Jobs were temporary, living was cheap, and my wanderlust was satisfied around every corner until eventually that too became old and familiar. Till one day I met a man. He worked for the paper. He offered me the job of a lifetime. I was to travel the world taking pictures and capturing the earths beauty.…

Back when I was a little girl, I remember the first time I went on a road trip with my family when I was six years old. The summer of 1993, the second weekend of July, our family started a journey. It was a Friday, thirty minutes past four o'clock in the afternoon when my dad, invited us all, my mom, my baby brother and me to go on a three-day vacation to my dad’s hometown. A place that my dad always told me was one of the warmest places on earth full of color and lovely people. It was the best experience I’ve ever had. We packed our bags in a very tight way so everything could fit in the small red stroller we had. I helped my mom to put my baby’s brother tiny clothes in a backpack and we hopped on the silver ford from the year 1954 my dad used to have. We hit the road and drove away.…
