Venture Concept: Specialized Designs Kandice Porter FIN / 375 5/25/2015 Dr. Leon Daniel Jr.

Venture Concept P.2 In this paper I will be discussing the venture concept I would start if I had the resources. I will provide a employee number, information about the facility and equipment I would want or need, as well as my target customers and marketing channels. I will also be discussing a current company venture to my concept venture to see if my financially start up would be similar or different than the current company. My conceptual venture would be a specialized designs business. The idea is to design unique and innovative picture designs that are specific to the customer’s want and needs. These designs would be available for placement on any materials from wood, cloth, glass, metals, plastics, paper products and any other materials that are available. My facility would need to be large enough (about 1000 sq.ft.) to accommodate supplies, equipment, presses, printers and stamp machines, as well as designing tables and consulting tables. There needs to be office and a development and staging space, as well as large windows in the front of the facility for displays which aid in the advertising process.     Introduction Technology entrepreneurs such as you need to prepare a commercialization plan. The commercialization plan describes how you will transform a promising technology into economic benefits for your company’s stakeholders (i.e., customers, collaborators, founders, investors, employees). For many technology entrepreneurs the preparation of a commercialization plan is a challenge for at least five reasons. First, the entrepreneur does not know what makes a commercialization plan the right plan. Preparing the right commercialization plan is much more difficult than just preparing a plan. Second, this is the first time that the entrepreneur must truly define the value the innovation will deliver the company’s stakeholders as well as the reasons why the company will win in the marketplace.
