K1 the school’s ICT policy
Our school has an ICT policy that gives guidelines for all when working with ICT in the classroom or ICT suite. All adults in the school have to sign a form to say that when using ICT equipment in school we will not access any inappropriate content and will only use the resources in school for educational purposes. All ICT problems should be reported to the relevant ICT team and if we cannot resolve it ourselves then we have an additional specialist who comes in once a week to look at issues that we cannot resolve in house.

Types of materials we might use include specialist software that is installed on the computers, materials widely available on the internet, use of Espresso, a type of intranet that we subscribe to annually, Technical devices such as cameras and video cameras and other equipment that is used by plugging into the computer such as science equipment used for doing experiments and the readings are sent to the computer, and some design and technology resources where you build an object from lego, it will encompass a motor on it and this motor is connected to the computer and programmed to move as you want to make all sorts of things such as fairground rides, model cars
