In our week three Practice Foundations tutorial the class participated in a role play exercise designed to assess our ability to utilise interpersonal communication skills to obtain a basic patient health history of a fictitious patient. My assigned patient was a seventeen year epileptic old male who had suffered three colic seizures, one at home and two after admission to hospital…

As part of my Business Innovation Development Project Unit, I had the opportunity to put myself into group with my friends or people I believed I could work well with. In the first stages of our group we all tried to get to know each other more through analysing personality and learning types’ test that we previously undertook. I realise we were going through the normal stages of the team formation in particular forming and norming (Tuckman, 1965). In my assignment group we had all Belbin team roles which helped us perform well throughout our project and also helped us to identify other team members’ behavioural strengths and weaknesses. During the initial stages of the group getting together I believed it was important that we all had a clear objective and somewhat of a pathway of what we wanted to achieve and that everyone shared duties within the group. My group members had roles such as researching the market to see if there is a demand for Youni which was our product for university students, they also dealt with the financial side of our product and making analysis between our product and our competitor’s product.…

The skills I had developed up until this point further evolved in the AP (Advanced Placement) English class I attended during my senior year. AP English was the most challenging literature class I took during my time in high school; it was also the most enjoyable and rewarding. We read literary works such as “The Poisonwood Bible” by Barbara Kingsolver; “The Invisible Man” by Ralph Waldo Emerson; “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley; “The Things They Carried” by ???; and “A Doll’s House” by Henrik Ibsen. Although the reading load was rather intense, I especially enjoyed applying the critical analysis skills I had developed up to this point to these novels. It is difficult to establish which book was my favorite to read and interpret; I found each to be eloquently written and representative of realistic life situations, both contemporary and historical.…
In this report, I am going write about the different parts of the football session I delivered to the sport coaching students, my thoughts and feelings, evaluating the session so giving positives and negatives, analysing the session which will be the plans and goals of the session and also giving a scientific evidence and then finally a conclusion the session as a whole. The essential factors of the session were the way I lead the session, the coaching points I used how I demonstrated and had my session laid out. I thought my coaching experience had positive and negative which I am going to talk about later in my reflective practice I thought delivering the session showed me what I can do to improve in the future.…

As nervous as I was when I walked into Saint Joseph Catholic School (K-8) for my first day of kindergarten, I never thought I would be able to leave after 6th grade and enter the world of middle school. In a small school of about 400 kids, I was familiar with every face that passed by me in the hallway. I got to know the kids in my grade so well and we all knew each other’s life stories. By the time I was in 6th grade at Saint Joseph, some of my friends were planning on going to Kinard middle school in 7th grade. At this point in my life, I was not completely content with where I was going to school. The realization came to me that it was time to move on. It was time for me to try something new.…
The College Board document encourages college counseling and career counseling to be integrated in a program of instruction that starts in elementary school. College and career counseling at elementary school! At first thought this seems too early. However, the skills needed to be effective in the workforce require a solid foundation in reading, writing and basic math. These basic skills are all learned in elementary school and are essential in a modern economy. In the 21st Century the journey into a career can be far more complicated and starting college and career counseling early is becoming essential. My career search would have greatly benefited from having received career counseling earlier. When I graduated from college, I had…
