TECHNOLOGY IN DAILY LIFE

All of us are aware of the fact that intensive research in various scientific fields developed over several centuries lead to technology development for several applications which is making our life simpler and easier on several fronts. Technology developed by our ancestors is helping us so much that we are taking them for granted. But without these developments life would have been very hard and difficult to visualize.

Technology development had all started from fire which is key source to man and then later the wheel which helped in transportation of people and goods from one place to another. Greek mathematician, Archimedes invented the simple machines lever, pulley, inclined plane which are basics for modern day gadgets with improvisations which happened over a period of time. Inventions play key role in daily life such as the elevators which help us in reaching from one floor to another in a very short span of time.

Another key role played by technology is quick communication such as telephone in which people could communicate from one part of the world to another in a very short period of time which saves time whereby letters that were used for sending messages earlier took several weeks or months. Email, the most preferred way of modern day communication helped us further to share the content across the globe in shortest possible means.

Technological revolution in medical field is helping us to diagnose and treat several ailments and surgeries are performed through the instructions communicated from one part of the world to other and with the help of robotic aids several critical surgeries are undertaken with minimal pain to the patient and with great precision and accuracy.

Technology can also be used for negative purposes such as warfare leading to mass destruction and this should be avoided as all the developments which have taken shape

In today’s society the market for new inventions is based primarily on the demand for the product verses the cost to produce and uses the product. Robotic surgical equipment is costly to purchase, plus the cost of cross training the surgeons on the machine. This is one of the reasons robotics have been slow to enter the medical field and once created slow to be utilized over the current standard medical procedures. The most well-known surgical medical robots are Da Vinci and Zeus. Less well known are the catheter based robots; Sensei X systems, Magellan systems, and NIOBE magnetic navigation systems.…

Having robots in our surgery rooms are becoming a thing of the past. The thought of a robotic device performing a procedure that has been performed by thousands of doctors for many years is a wonderful discovery.
