INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
INTRODUCTION
How strong are hardware businesses here in the Philippines? Of all the options of different businesses here, why would a proprietor choose to start a hardware store? Our group has discussed about the topic and we have concluded that hardware store business is an ideal start-up business because it is extremely profitable compared to other businesses. Hardware Retailer will generate positive cash flow during the first year of operations as well as acquire net profit of operations. To generate revenue quickly, you must know what you are getting into. Hardware stores provide consumers with tools and construction materials needed to build, maintain, and improve their homes and properties. Examples of home improvement merchandise are as follows: building materials, electrical supplies, hand and power tools and accessories, hardware, home decorating products, housewares, lawn and garden items, lumber, paint/paint sundries, plumbing/heating/cooling products, sporting goods and more. Everything in this world needs tools or equipment to be built so we can say that hardware supplies are very important in our daily lives. One of the basic necessities in life is shelter, so that means having a hardware store would provide customers with one of their basic needs in life.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Filipinos are very hospitable and warm to their visitors and they really like to entertain and invite them to their homes. Everyone wants their houses big, nice, and elegant. When it’s time for them to start building their dream houses, hardware businesses are the ones who are favoured because these people will obviously buy their materials and equipment needed in building their homes. Those who have already built their homes,still need to maintain and prevent theirs from losing its aesthetic values and the strength of the establishment to avoid future events that might cause any accidents. Filipinos like their houses to look good, that’s why the architectural designs of the houses and establishments here are very good.
