Steve And Stronghold Character Analysis
Steve, the commander, Stronghold shows many different ways of leadership while Will Stronghold, his son, grows up; especially while Will is starting high school. A few main things have been discussed throughout the class is the importance of encouragement and empowerment to people as a team. Steve empowers his son with responsibilities as a hero. Steve trusted his son with the room called the “secret sanctum” which came with responsibilities. This includes the secrecy of the room by taking no one down in the room. With this empowerment, Will was pushed now more than ever to push toward a superpower. At this point in the movie, it is only Will’s first day of Sky High, the high school for superheroes; but, Will has become a sidekick since he doesn’t know his superpower. The teacher for the sidekicks, Jonathan, was Steve’s sidekick but when it came down to it, Steve forgot his sidekick’s name and never told his son about him. Steve shows an example of poor leadership within a full consistent team. Will finally had the opportunity to tell his dad about his dilemma and his dad did not freak out about Will, he and his wife took it lovingly and tried to figure out the next steps to help his son. At school, Will stepped up for the others no matter what their rank was. As he did this, he found his strength, his real superpower strength, as he performed passionately for the benefit of others.
