Soccer Family Research Paper
Every soccer family knows where they are going on a weekend during the winter season. It is a place where the adults take their young ones to have fun and it is also a place where the parents enjoy their time. It sits below a small hill near Harding Place. It is neighbor to a trucking company. It wears a navy blue coating and is guarded by small pine trees which are adorned by some beautiful pansy flowers. You are welcomed by one glass door and upon entering there is a narrow hallway that leads to the indoor soccer facility. There is a dining area on the left side when you enter that you are able to see into because of its long rectangular windows it has all the way down the wall. This room’s purpose is mainly for people to come and enjoy their food or simply to relax and lounge. It also has a commercial refrigerator that contains sauces, limes, and other condiments. The room is also rented out for birthday parties and …show more content…
I would say that the majority of people who come into the facility are Hispanic. Saturday is the only day that you will see American families because that is when the kids play. During the week there are groups of Somalians that rent the fields, other than that it is an environment for the Latino. It is special because I would notice some families come during the week and all weekend since they’re kids played on Saturday and the parents would play on Sunday. I also noticed that some people would just come to the indoor to watch games even if they didn’t know anyone. They would just show up to watch soccer and eat some good food. It was definitely a fun environment for anyone. There is a particular family that comes during the week for the husband to coach his team and then on Thursday his wife and two daughters play on the same team. And their son plays on

Since only about twenty girls wanted to play, everyone who tried out made the team. She said, the coach had made an announcement that if anyone was interested in joining the first Tahlequah Middle School soccer team to stay after the assembly and sign up. She admitted she had never played for a soccer team before, but she was interested because she had always bonded with her father when kicking a soccer ball around. “Heading is when a player propels the ball using their head”(Sports Definitions). “There are four main types of heading that occur in the game – the defensive header, used to clear the ball from the defensive area; the glancing header, used as a “pass” to advance the ball; the flick-on header which uses the back of the head to direct the ball; and the dramatic diving header, used to attack or to score a goal” (Pimlott). With each of these types of headers in soccer each one must be properly learned otherwise there will be a greater chance of risk and harm to players.. If players are taught the proper and basic fundamentals of soccer then they will be able to safely head a ball. When players…

Not even 20 years after the first official game they had accumulated a crowd of more then 20,000 spectators for the championship game between the Mutual Club of Manhattan and the Atlantic Club of Brooklyn. This demonstrates the instant impact that baseball had on the community, allowing thousands of unfamiliar people to come together and cheer for the team of their choosing. I made my way across the parking lot, towards the entrance to the gym. As I reached the double doors I paused, then slowly turning, I attempted to take in as much of the outside view as I could. I saw a green meadow dotted with a few thoughtfully placed picnic tables, a few baseball, and soccer fields. I also noticed that this place is home to a busy skateboard park right beside a well-kept playground. My pan of the scene had revealed to me that this place has grown into something more than what I had remembered it to be. Today this center welcomes people of all ages. It was a simple gymnasium with a couple of minimally groomed baseball diamonds and multipurpose fields, lacking any beauty. Today, the sturdy old building and surrounding fields are a beautiful sight to behold, and maintained by a local community services organization. The quick survey of the sports center had reminded me that this place is still serving the community in a big way with its available venues and activities.…
