Similarities Between Esther And John The Baptist
The Bible is full of people whom God uses to fulfill His greater will and, as a result, become influential heroes. In most of the circumstances they faced, the Biblical characters expressed heroic qualities that undoubtedly demonstrated their remarkable nature and willingness to follow the Lord. This was true for Jonathan, Esther, and John the Baptist. If a new hero was created, the person would possess the same characteristics that made them exceptional people: courage, selflessness, and humility. A new hero should learn from Jonathan and how he ultimately obtained his confidence and strength from God. Jonathan knew that his own capability could not bring him through everything but understood that the omnipotent Lord could. Through his faith, he was given the courage to perform extraordinary and heroic deeds. At the Israelites’ conflict with the Philistines during the reign of King Saul, Jonathan decided to act out a potentially fatal plan.     Unlike in Beowulf, they are generally low-key doctors who work to find the panacea for the world's ills, the politicians struggling for the rights of their people, the mothers who do anything to make the lives of their children better. All heroes have significant qualities. Many have the impression that heroes are people who have done something that is "cool" or singles them out.
