Do they have what quality is wroth we learn? My hero is Benjamin Franklin. I learned many good qualities from him. Benjamin Franklin is a great person in American history. He was born in 1706. He’s father was a tallow chandler and had seventeen children. Benjamin was last son. Benjamin has an extraordinary life. He attended school in Boston, but only to 10 years old. He was American Ambassador to France, successful got support from France for American independence. He gave many advices to newborn government such as advice for constitution. As a printer, scientist, inventor, and a writer, without doubt he had much success in difference arenas. (Christopher, 2010) In my view, ambitious, hardworking, and warm hearted is top three qualities make Benjamin a hero. On “A Lesson Before Dying” (Gaines, 1993), Gaines identify a hero has top three characteristics is brave, responsible and intelligent. I agree the three qualities are importance elements for a hero and strong agree responsible is an important one. Nowadays, many people has brave and intelligent but they cannot be a hero. Because, they kind of selfish and did not have responsible for society. So I think responsible is a key point for be a hero. I definition a hero should be brave, responsible and patience. “A Lesson Before Dying” is based on a real story in 1948-1949. The main role is Grant and Jefferson. Jefferson is a black man who treated unjustly will going die. Grant, as a teacher in the small town, will help Jefferson to be a dignified man before Jefferson dying. In the process, they built a strength friendship. Without doubt, Grant is a hero in “A Lesson Before Dying”. He does many works for change Jefferson better. Finally,

Whenever a novel undergoes an adaptation into a film, the film writers (and possibly the novelist) make suitable changes to better adapt the film, which possibly includes changes in characterization, events and themes. With A Lesson Before Dying, both the film and the book portray a conflict between Grant Wiggins, the protagonist, and Reverend Ambroise about religion, the community and Jefferson, however, the book provides a more in-depth layer to the conflict. In the novel, not only does Ambroise besiege Grant about his atheism, but also asserts his dominance and his power as a reverend; Ambroise flaunts his authority, because he believes that Grant threatens his power when Grant actually does not care about Ambroise’s power. For the movie, however, Ambroise instead focuses more on Grant’s atheism and his devotion towards saving Jefferson’s soul.…

Heroism and heroes are two things that no matter what, will always be around, people will always admire heroes, and wish they could be them. While there is an endless supply of heroes from the beginning of time, there are only a few definitions, yet over time that definition has changed to an extent. Dictionary.reference.com defines hero as: “A man of distinguished courage of ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.” Campbell’s definition, “someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself… The hero performs a courageous act in battle and saves lives,” varies quite a bit from the twenty first century definition. Courage, the biggest pillar, are the building blocks of a hero, without courage, you simply cannot be an admired hero. Courage allows you…

Benjamin Franklin is one of the most well-known individuals in American history, and for good reason. He was a signer of the Constitution and also made advancements in science that lead to technology that we use and take for granted each and every day. Signing the U.S. Constitution “[capped] an illustrious career as scientist and diplomat” (Dierks). He was a great writer as well, “whose wisdom was leavened by wit” (Saturday Evening Post). In his A Way to Wealth and in all of his almanacs, he gave some very useful advice that people can even use today. He warned against pride, folly, and idleness and mentioned that in the end, they will cost more than taxes (Norton 221).
