Ever wonder how the world around you has evolved, I know I have here and there. Just think at one time this paper that I’m writing would have to be handwritten, but through evolution of the computer it has made it possible for me to give you this paper in legible handwriting. What I’m getting to is evolution of technology is quite impressive, in the field that I am intrigued the most in is the one of the video games. Video games have always interested me, ever since I was a young lad. I began playing video games when I was at the age of 4; it began with the Nintendo Entertainment System, one of my personal favorites. Next after a span of a few years my family purchased me and my brother the PlayStation One, which was an innovation of its time. The PlayStation Two came a few years later with better selection of games and improved graphics, very very fun in my opinion. The original Xbox was the start of a new favorite console series for me I played that for a few years, before I finally upgraded to my personal favorite of all the Xbox 360. I put more hours into my Xbox 360 than I did with all my recent consoles combined, kind of shows that I play a lot of games in my time. Recently I have been slacking on my video game playing, but I do hope to go back into my gaming schedule. Now that I am done talking about my history with video games, it’s time for the main event, the beginning of all video games and how they have progressed. It all started began in the in 1947 when Thomas T Goldsmith Jr and Estle Ray Mann asked the United States to patent an invention that they called the “cathode ray tube amusement device”. In 1948 they finally got the approval and the device was made of knobs and buttons used to simulate airborne enemies within the game.
