I would like to audition to be section leader because I am very outgoing and I love to help people in the best way I can. I also would like to audition for section leader because I feel it will help me become better as a person to show me leadership, and friendship. I feel I am a strong leader because I listen to what people have to say but at the same time tell them what they could do to make them better on their instrument. I also welcome everyone. I never single anyone out I will help them and whatever they need to the best of my ability and I will make feel good about asking questions and I would be like great friend if they need someone to talk to im all ears. I feel I can help the program and the music department as a whole is getting us closer and not having people be afraid of the upperclassmen and having all of them be a well-rounded person. Also I could help by having meeting will the class as seeing ha there input is to if their upset with things. I think I should be selected for section leader because I take the time to listen to reach out to kids. Music to me is like baseball to Babe Ruth. Music fills me with happiness and helps me with things when I need it and if I can show kids music is more than just notes and playing them but its emotion and has meaning then I feel I am and could be a great section leader.

To be clarinet section leader, it would be a privilege, no, an honor. Being the student leader would be an accomplishment for me. A section leader must stay on top of everything in their section. As Battalion Commander I would be able to move the Jaguar Battalion to become a more productive and motivated set of cadets that we have seen since my freshman year in JROTC. I have numerous plans to achieve these goals and will more likely be able to acomplish them by doing the following; having company set goals, a fundraising chart to have an interactive view on which company is raising more money, fitness charts set around each JROTC room to show cadets proper movements on excercises, stretches, fitness goals and proper diets to help maintain and have a healthy body. I will also have Cadet Challenge requirement guidelines in each room to help cadets know what they need to achieve in order for them to recieve special awards or high scores on the Cadet Challenge when the date comes. These are just few of many ideas that I have to help and improve our Jaguar Battalion to become the best battalion we have ever seen in ELCHS.…

I am a leader. I have all the qualities that make a great leader, but I was not born this way.Experiences and how someone reacts to those experiences are what truly make a leader. One of the most influential experiences I have gone through is called the Lebanon High School Marching Band. I am certain that I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for marching band. Before coming to high school I already had leadership qualities, but band helped bring all those great qualities together and helped me get past my two major flaws: my lack of self-confidence and the fact that I was probably one of the shyest people you would EVER meet. When I joined marching band, I spent most of my waking hours sweating and suffering alongside wonderful people that I longed to…

Although last year I was not given the position of Drum Major, I was awarded the title of “Low Voice Section Leader.” Being named section leader made me feel so honored, and I was ecstatic to be in the position. As a section leader, I truly experienced what it is like to be a leader in a marching band. Although it is difficult, it is definitely rewarding. Throughout the marching band season, people often approached me for advice and help, and I was delighted to be able to assist different people and see how much they improved with my aid and…

As for character of what I would bring to the band, I am laid back and easy going but I can be very strict when I need to. Whenever we aren’t doing something I usually chat or goof off, but when it’s time to begin, it’s time to settle down, so I center my focus and get right to work trying to get everyone to fall into line. I am very dedicated to music and band so there wouldn’t have to be any worries with my responsibilities for the band. Also, I don’t play any sports or do anything besides choir and band all year with the exception of musical in the spring and diff and AP…

Since I have been in this band, I have grown as a musician learning to read treble clef from playing baritone and also from guitar. This allows me to be able to read every sections music. I believe this is a great help because when each group breaks apart and does sectionals I would be able to help out every instrument no matter what clef they play in. I cannot wait to guide the new band members, freshman, in their first season of marching band. I will also bring plenty of fun and character to the band. Though my job isn't fun and games I believe in having a good time at all times even while learning and working. That's…

There is the important question of, “What qualities makes you a worthy option over the others competing?” A good place to start is my devotedness to the band program. This year, I played in the following bands: Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Band, Winter Percussion, Wind Ensemble (occasionally). While I am obviously not the best in the school at my instruments, I definitely have a connection to the band program that few others have considering the amount of time I put into it. Another quality I would like to mention is my willingness to learn. I want the band program to excel next year, and I am up for any challenge that may come my way. That’s why I’m learning multiple different conducting styles (amongst other reasons), as I want to be able to adeptly conduct anything you choose for the band next year. I also have a lot of interest in conducting for everyday band classes, as, based off of the little experience I have conducting for Symphonic Band, it seems like a lot of fun. Thirdly, I have connections, particularly in the sense of getting volunteers to do any big projects that may arise. I happen to be a triplet, so let’s just say I know a large number of teenage boys who would be willing to come in early to set up for an event, move (or maybe even build) props, copy papers, etc. Any odd jobs that would take extra time to do, I and a few others of my choosing can do for you. Of course, there will always be…

    1. My contribution would be to follow instructions given by the teacher for that particular lesson. To organise an area to seat 7 children . I would prepare the area and set out the learning material and instruments and instructions for each child to use . I would assist the children in following the teachers instructions and encourage all of the children to take part in the lesson .I would also watch the children carefully to make sure they understood the teachers instructions , if a child was struggling i would gently tell them again and help them to understand what was happening in the lesson . Engaging and encouraging each child to explore the different sounds and experiment with the instruments . If the children have different instruments i think it would be a good idea to take it in turns to try out each instrument so the child gets to experience each instrument and they can have the same experience and discuss this with each other at the end of the lesson . I can also ask them questions about which instrument they liked best . I would ask the children to use the instruments carefully and safely .I would also praise the children for taking part in the lesson and thanking them for taking part in the discussion . i think it is important for every child to feel involved and to know that i am interested in there playing and show i am there to enjoy the lesson with them .I also think it is important ask the children questions about what they thought about each instrument and if they enjoyed playing it . I would show the children that i am interested in their opinion and listen to them and also try and teach this to the other children about listening to each others opinions. At the end of the lesson i would ask the children to return each instrument carefully to me and i would return the instruments to the music store area and clear away another learning material used the the music lesson . I…

I am applying for both section leader and drum major because I have a lot to offer in both positions in the band. I am a great leader, with a lot of maturity and know when it’s time to be serious, and when it’s time to joke around. After the generation of our parents and grandparents, I believe that we’re both more and less moral than they were. As there were a lot of generations before us, there were many rules and regulations that they had to follow as children. It’s a totally different world today if you were to compare it with the way the world was back in the 70’s and 80’s. There are many reasons as to why we’re both more and less moral but it shouldn’t affect how we should act and treat other people.…

    Musical Autobiography

I was in band for 2 years and in those two years I learned how to play the trumpet and how to proficiently read sheet music. In 8th grade I decided that I would again take choir and I would find that my years of experience and bettering my ear for music would pay off. I took choir for another 5 years after that and it was there that I learned two things. I learned how to play the piano which I now realize has helped me learn memorization skills and coordination. However, I also learned leadership skills. Because I eventually became proficient in my singing skill and I also was so eager to learn and better myself, I became the leader of my choir in my junior year of high school. I was then awarded the National School Choral award which was the highest achievement in high school for choral programs. After this achievement passed, I decided to continue bettering myself though choir, piano class, and music appreciation, to make myself an ideal candidate to help others with their musical journey. I have always wanted to be a music teacher because I feel that music is what teaches people how to recognize true beauty and develop insight. Music is my passion and that passion will never become burnt out. Music has been frustrating but I have never given up, I have only tried to make myself better.…
