School Uniforms in public Schools
Introduction:
I remember I never wear the cutest or fancy clothes or was with the latest trend of fashion and was left out a lot when friends of mine were talking about the clothes when I was in public school. I always felt like I do not belong, but I never wanted to buy expensive or fancy clothing just to make myself feel included by friends of mine. Even though the individuality of students is very important to express him/her self, uniforms lower the referrals of discipline and also helps the students to focus on their learning so it should be adopted in schools.Uniform in public school is a necessity for students to concentrate on their studies, not on how they look in their fancy dresses; also it reduces discipline referrals and draws a good reputation in society or schooling system.
Reasons Why Students and Parents are against Uniforms in School:
Many public school students believe uniforms in school are restraining the freedom of expression of the people and it also does not creates diversity, so the uniforms should not be introduced in schools. Without the means of expressions in the clothes of students, they may turn in to making inappropriate hair styles, makeup or jewelry, this one example of how uniforms restrict. But students may find a way to show the others their personality in their jewelry or hair or hairstyle, if they are restricted of their choice of clothing. Uniforms asphyxiate children who feel beggared of their individualism. If the student gets acclimated to getting admired for their not looks but for their mind, then the world outside could come as a surprise to them. Even if uniforms reduce the level of violence and everybody is equally treated, the world outside does not run as smoothly and orderly as it would in a school. These are some reasons and facts as to why; teens, parents and many children against uniforms in school.
Importance and Benefits of Uniform in School:
While in opinion of some people that a uniform can get boring because of wearing same clothes of same color every day, at the same time the level of hostility is decreased because of uniforms in many schools. Also uniforms have reduced skipped classes, tardiness, discipline referrals and suspensions. While because of uniforms, sexual offenses committed were diminished massively as well by a huge 74%. Uniforms somehow made possible to reduce violence by identifying any outsider quickly that enters a school, which is equally important. The intruder would be immediately spotted, disposing to students a potential threat.
Uniforms in public school additionally facilitate students concentrate on learning. Clothing of students distracts learning as teenagers particularly; care more than needed on however others see them. Typically students wear shirts that inquire into reasons to not do schoolwork, are also related to colors of gangs and symbols or expose skin too much. Moreover, if uniforms were compulsory, students wouldn 't be diverted on however they are looking all the time. Students would score good marks in test and it also would help the students by expounding to teacher on students found needy for help, by removing distracting fashion. Moreover, focus of students in learning can be improved because of uniforms by developing loyalty and a sense of ambassadorship to the school, and also build team spirit. Student starts to care more about the school, without repellent garments.
Conclusion:
It is now understood that uniform in school helps the student to focus more on their studies. While students believe that there freedom of speech is trying to be controlled by enforcing uniforms in schools, a school is a place to learn, not a fashion show. It is the place for children to get education and then help them to get into a good college and a valuable career in future. Uniforms in schools could make children learn that what is more important than trendy and expensive clothing. Students in school are meant to show the individuality that how they are involved in school, how good are they in working with their peers and teachers, and how they look inside and outside the classroom.
