Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies

12th October 2013

Introduction
Scholarship Enrichment Program (SEP 101) has been introduced by the University College Sedaya International (UCSI) University to create a generation that is creative, smart, innovative and most importantly, a leader to guide the future world in becoming a better place to live in.
We, UCSI Scholarship Students, have been requested to attend several modules such as, Communication and Interpersonal skills, Self-awareness and Self-discovery, Creative and Critical thinking and etc. So much so that these modules will help us all to understand more on what UCSI University wants and seeks us to become in the future. Thus, these modules enable us to be prepared for the up-coming challenges.
Hence, each and every one of us who originally came from different programs, states and countries has come together and form a group called, Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies. We came up with this name mainly because it is funny but behind that humor lies our explanation and it goes like this, fire is a symbol of strength, power and energy! It also symbolizes life, passion and authority. We will destroy all obstacles that stand in our paths. You must be wondering what Rubber Duckies symbolizes, well Rubber Duckies can’t sink, meaning that we would not sink to the depths of the ocean and stay afloat at the top. Without further ado’s, this report assignment consists of a brief description about three of the modules which we have attended so far- Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Self-awareness and Self-discovery and Creative and Critical Thinking, Entrepreneurship and Management Skills, and Team Building and Leadership Skills.

Suren has many activities to juggle during the week, including homework, an extracurricular math team, and some sports activities. Recently, she also became the editor of the school newspaper due to her recognition as a talented writer. Despite this schedule, she is always able to find enough time to practice piano in order to participate and thrive in several piano recitals and competitions each year. Each week she takes an hour-long piano lesson with me late in the evening that often lasts for well over that hour and her attention is still very much focused on the considerable details that we cover. To be able to work with a person like this is a rather uncommon treat for me as a teacher. For this reason, Suren is very inspirational to me.…
