-Examine the components of a SOW for the purpose of open competition without restrictive provisions. Select a field that you are interested in and determine the information that would be included in a SOW for a contract in that field.
Statement of works vary for throughout agencies because different government requirements. The Statement of work most commonly used in research administration is also known as the work scope. It is a short paragraph describing the work being performed. The SOW shouldn’t be a summary of the whole grant and it should be understandable to non-scientists. Based on the statement of work, an appropriate budget can be determined whether the budget is appropriate.
