RESEARCH DATA ANALYST JOB PROFILE SUMMARY JOB CATEGORY: JOB TITLE: Research Support Research Data Analyst

JOB CATEGORY DEFINITION: This specialty covers the design, implementation and evaluation of various research projects. Functions include providing support in areas such as instrumentation, data management, laboratory operations and general administration. JOB TITLE DEFINITION: The Research Data Analyst gathers and analyzes data from various databases and sources, performing statistical and/or mathematical programming, developing reports and visual representations, developing and/or maintaining databases, and providing consultation, technical assistance, and coordination for a wide variety of clinical/biomedical investigators or other research faculty; advises and assists investigators in determining the appropriate statistical methodology to meet their study needs and objectives; uses various statistical and mathematical software packages to summarize and interpret statistical results; and designs, implements, and coordinates study activities and process improvements. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title. WORKING CONDITIONS: Specific physical requirements and effort are outlined in Job Responsibilities Worksheet (list of essential job duties and responsibilities specific to a particular job at the unit level) in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA).
