Reflective Reflection
Reflection allows an individual to identify the reasons or purpose of understanding the outcome of a particular situation in depth in term of emotions on thought and feeling on the topic area. In addition, Reflection is something that we do implicitly as part of being human, underpinning our identities through a process of negotiation between our sense of self and our experiences of others (Demetriou, 2000, p.210). Therefore, I have implemented this quote in my professional and personal goals I wanted and have achieved thought-out the process of the module. I have made continues effort in building my confidence in situations that I have felt uncomfortable in.

    1. Some existentialist do believe in God and some do not. Being an existentialist does not necessarily involve denying the possibility of a higher power. Existentialism is a philosophical position that advocates 1) the individual's absolute freedom and full capacity to determine its place in the world; 2) the individual as indefinable, as outside of all systems and totalities. The individual is only defined on the basis of what they do, and with each action they change who they are. For Sartre, at least, we can only define what a person is when they have died. Existentialism is said to begin with Soren Kierkegaard, who is a Christian existentialist. For Kierkegaard, the human individual is outside of all systems, and is irreducibly singular. He is a Christian existentialist because he claims that a personal relationship with God is the highest accomplishment of human existence. As an existentialist, he opposes what he calls "Christiandom", which is basically organized religion in which the individual loses itself in a group mentality. Religion is a personal event for Kierkegaard, not a communal one. Christian existentialism relies on Kierkegaard's understanding of Christianity. Kierkegaard argued that the universe is fundamentally paradoxical, and that its greatest paradox is the transcendent union of God and humans in the person of Jesus Christ. He also posited having a personal relationship with God that supersedes all prescribed moralities, social structures and communal norms, since he asserted that following social conventions is essentially a personal aesthetic choice made by individuals. Kierkegaard proposed that each person must make independent choices, which then constitute his existence. Each person suffers from the anguish of indecision until he commits to a particular choice about the way to live.     Throughout life we have many turning points that can determine one’s pathway through life and some that could possibly change us. In “The Great Rat Hunt Story” by Laurence Yep he writes about a personal story that involves the issues that he had to endure as a child which he felt ashamed about, he also talks about his father. As a kid Laurence wasn’t the typical athletic kid like the one his father was when he was his age, his father would attempt to teach his older brother and him everything that there is to know about American sports but Laurence’s asthma always exhausted him. “ While my brother and father practiced, I could only sit in bed, propped up by a stack of pillows.” Laurence never could achieve what his father over-prevailed. Laurence’s father would venture into guiding Laurence into the art of sports, but since Laurence suffered from asthma his lungs would always fail him. “During the times I felt well, I tried to keep up with them, but my lungs always failed me. When I had to sit down on the curb, I felt as if I had let my father down.     My original purpose for beginning this education was to achieve a master’s degree. I had no thought process put into the idea except simply achieving the degree. As time progressed into my first semester my competitive nature kicked into gear. I did not just want to achieve a degree and slide by the next two years I wanted to excel. I had found my drive again and I wanted to soak up everything I possibly could about technology. A considerable amount of time and effort needed to be put forth and I made up my mind to achieve this goal I set for myself. This experience has brought about some exciting and phenomenal advancement in my career, as a media specialist and educator. I have always loved computers and have always found them rather fascinating. I originally decided to major in computer information systems when I began my college career. How I was ever deterred from a CIS major still puzzles me. I ended up majoring in health and physical education with an emphasis in exercise science. I have been an athlete my whole life and the aspect of exercise science is my second passion. I quickly realized that with this master’s degree I could merge my two passions into one love. This is a broad enough master’s degree that I could use in the clinical realm of exercise science and with that known my drive for this degree ignited. Upon completion of this master’s degree I feel adequately prepared for any technology challenges I may face in the future. I feel I had the opportunity to gain a generous amount of skills and tools that will allow me to help my teaching staff differentiate instruction, as well as, integrate new technology applications throughout classrooms. I gained a major confidence in my ability to serve teachers, tackle technology challenges, and create solutions to everyday facets of our school curriculum.…

    The documentary film, Ang Buhay Ng Isang Bayani(The Life Of A Hero), shows me how Jose Rizal lived his life with his own ideas and principles.
