Last week we learned about organizational behavior. We learned that it is a key and critical part of any organization. The study Organizational behavior shows how an organization relationship with its staff affects the company’s performance. Organizational behavior dictates employee morale and employee turnover. An organization needs to target and develop good managers. Good managers help promote one of the hardest things to have a happy hard working employee. Every company needs a motivational leader that has good people and communication skills. We learned about systematic studies and looking at relationships, cause and effects and conclusion based on scientific evidence. Evidence based management complements systematic studies by basing management’s decisions on the best available scientific evidence.
We discussed the best ways of communication with staff, and the effectiveness of the different techniques. In doing so, we isolated the most important traits to possess, and how to best deal with employees who may not possess those same traits. Out of the four tools, networking, communication, research management and traditional management, we learned that communication would be the most important tool to use in training and learning what motivates employees in an organization. A manager can develop a better idea of the individual’s character by communicating with them and discussing their goals. We learned the importance of morale within the company. When employees feel good about their job and the people they work with and work for, they tend to perform better. They are able to generate better ideas and they have higher levels or work ethic. When a person does not like their job, their management team, or the style of their management team, it can cause the employee to perform poorly. We were also given several examples of individuals in management positions who should have not been there do to their like of empathy, knowledge, or skills. There are so many factors that affect work performance, many of which starts with the management team.

Communication would be the most important to use in training or learning what motivates employees in an organization. By communicating with them and discussing what their goals are and what they see as a future, a manager can get the feel of the individual character. A manager physically sitting down and talking with individual employees; whether the manager is new or he/she is a new employee. No manager can actually begin to assess an employee without talking to them. The manager needs to lay out what is expected, and emphasize policies. With the sit down, a manager can also get a feel of what the employee future goal is while being at the company.…

Before transferring to Georgian Court University, I had already attended two other colleges. I lived in a dorm my freshmen year at Ramapo and decided that was not for me. After leaving Ramapo, I decided to take a few semesters at Brookdale Community College in order to fulfill some requirements while deciding where exactly was the right place for myself to continue with my education. After searching through many brochures and getting first hand details about schools from people I am acquainted with, I was overcome with joy when I found Georgian Court. Since I am double majoring in both English and Education, it is hard to find schools that offer the two as a pair as well as offer the special endorsement for teaching students with disabilities. Georgian Court is also one of the top teaching schools, with a very high rate of job placement after graduation, which was another thing that captivated me. The economy is very unpredictable at this point in time and it is only plausible to choose the very best school to go to that is well known for the extraordinary practices in the field of study you want to pursue. Here at Georgian Court I have found everything I have been looking for.…

I have been working at ... for about a month now, I have made great relationships with the children in my class. I noticed the one girl in particular has become quite attached to myself. Another member of staff explained to me that she has quite severe attachment issues because of her home life. She explained that I should not allow this child to be so attached to myself, as she will always rather be with adults, that I should encourage her to play with other children in her class. I found this quite difficult trying to distance myself, whenever I was working with other children this young girl would always want to join in or just have a chat with me. It was very difficult for me to have to tell her that she needed to play with the other children. I know the young girl had defiantly picked up on my different behaviour with her and this distressed me quite a bit.…
