Reaction Paper According to the film, it seems that the U.S influence in a lot of different ways. They influence us in terms of speech, sense of style and clothing, food we eat, the movies we watch and even how we think and decide. Our government does not give attention in our education, from colonial education to neo education means to maintain the control of U.S in our education. They want us learn based only on their books, they are making the young ones like robotic children “don’t ask just learn”. Children cannot think, decide or express their feelings. Like the issue of a U.S naval ship that ran aground in tubataha reef. The government said that U.S will pay for their damage but I don’t believe that. Yes, U.S is our ally but they are powerful enough to reverse the situation. What is the use of the law if you are going to break it? According to a CHED official, quality education is expensive so you have to be ready to pay for it because there will be an increase in tuition fees in some other universities. Resulting for the students to take technical and vocational courses. Since the start of Education Act of 1982, a lot of universities started to increase their tuition fees. In effect, many students are against it so they rally in hoping that the government will hear them. Yes, you are smart but you are from a low grade school then you will be disregarded. Because most of the companies they prioritize on job hiring those who came from prestigious schools. Other schools are self-reliant by selling their belongings to other schools to make earning because they do not rely on the government.

Because Philippines belong to a 3rd world country (source of cheap labor and raw materials), investors from other country build factories here and they get Filipinos to be their workers. Workers rally due to lack to give their benefits like SSS, fair salary, etc. Education is a vital weapon of people striving for economic emancipation,

Elizabeth Bishop’s “The Hanging of the Mouse”, places animals in the roles of humans in reference to an execution. The writer uses animals to replace humans to possibly convey a message or point of view towards the death penalty. In the story, the mouse is being executed for what we believe is some sort of crime. It isn’t clear whether or not the mouse actually committed a crime, but we are led to believe that an act occurred in which caused the mouse to be executed on this particular day.…

In Albert Camus’s The Stranger, he shares with the reader, the life of an immensely complicated character. The story is presented to the reader by the character himself in most of the story. The character’s name is Meursault, a detached and semi-normal shipping clerk. Meursault appears to be rather stoic and is devoid of emotions. Meursault remains unaffected by passion and emotions throughout the story: however as the story progress towards the end Meursault is showing some feelings. Camus’s The Stranger is an example of existentialism and includes absurdism, as well as stoicism, some nihilism, and some naturalism and he shares with the reader examples of the aforementioned in almost every part of the story.…

The usage of most advanced large-scale bread manufacturing facility that is fully automated and computer controlled, untouched by human hands of Gardenia in their conversion cycle is the most remarkable in their system. As I have personally seen how the machines process all the ingredients to ensure the quality and freshness of their products, I could really say that the company had used well the technology available to give them the best advantage in their industry. I have also seen how their workers ensure quality control by checking any deformed loaf of bread ahead of the process and then putting a sign on it – a pink paper in their case – to notify the person in charge to remove it before the packing stage. I have had this impression that maybe the reason why defective breads were not being removed at an earlier stage of the process is because these breads undergo joint processing with non-defective breads and will later be used for further processing in order to be sold as one of the by-product of the company. I have been informed that one example of the company’s by-product is fish feeds.…

After being controlled under the Spanish regime which lasted for 300 years, the Philippines were in a new republic under the American government. Our country once became a part of America. It was one of the American States just like Hawaii right now, no matter how far they are, they still belong to the United States. Our country's economy before was really pump-priming. It was rising back again because Americans knew a lot in controlling a country's economy. They knew how to make people more productive in each of their daily lives, they knew the importance of the english language to us and they knew how to make this country moving from a good Latin country to a bustling busy city. Americans taught Filipinos how to use the telephone that's why now, as you can see, we have PLDT, We were taught how to speak english that's why now, as you can see, we are now Asia's most competitive english speakers. We were taught how to use the television, how to function the air conditioner, how to operate the washing machine and etc. We were so Americanized before that in the whole Asia we were the first Asians to taste coke and that's why now,…

As future electronics engineers, we are in need of knowing the new trends that fasten our field. This text is all about the writer’s experience during her first days of teaching. This is entitled “A Classroom Full of Flowers” and is written by Janice Anderson Connelly herself. I can say that she is really a good teacher based in what she did to her students. She did a good job not giving up in that class, which almost everyone has given up to. After reading the text I felt really touched and proud by what the students did to her and vice versa. I was also touched by the relationship they established as time passes.…
