Quinzella Paschal Meeting
This meeting was about getting Ms. Porter’s full schedule. We want over the times of her all meetings and activities. She did inform me her schedule may change. We will have to deal with that when it happens. I told her I can attend meetings, appointments and go grocery shopping with her. She seems hesitant to fully open up and work on her goals.
Quinzella Paschal (Family Mentor for Project Home) sat in on my meeting with Ms. Porter.

Analysis - From the email by Deepa, Sarah would get the impression that Deepa's taking a casual approach towards getting the presentation to her and does not seem to be bothered by the fact that the tardiness on her part would cause some serious delays and at Sarah's end and might lead to some complications with the client's deadlines not being met. Deepa's should've also taken care of providing more definitive deadline than the flip-flop that seems to be reflecting from her email to the…

Week six has been a busy week and I did many activities in week six, however, the activities that will be discussed are having the opportunity to attend a Resident Council meeting for the first time and doing one-on-ones with three residents for week six. I asked her to explain what was going on with her because lately she had been displaying an unprofessional attitude, and that this was something that was addressed in her evaluation as a goal. She seem to not recall this being on her evaluation I told her that I had a copy if she wanted to see it. Stacey stated that she felt that I was not backing the section any more because I seemed distant from the section. She said that I had changed the past year since we had moved downstairs. It was stated that I never told anyone in the section any more that they are doing a good job or that they appreciated. It was also mentioned that I did not participate in the Goodie Day’s any more including the Thanksgiving and Christmas luncheons. I told Stacey that since my parents had passed away I just did not feel up to joining in to these events. I also told her that I have been standing up for the group, but that it had not always been shared unless it neded to be. She said that I did not keep everyone informed to what was going on the section. I explained to her that if something needed to be shared with the group I had been sending in the form of an email so that I and the group had it in writing. She said she had noticed when she would come in tp talk to me about an issue that she felt like that I was not paying attention to her because I would look at my phone it would ring, check and/or…

During these discussions, I would encourage those present to discuss any concerns they have about K.M. with me and with each other, and facilitate a path towards a solution for the concern. Additionally, I think it would be important for me to meet directly with K.M., both so that I can directly observe her progress and so that she has a space to share anything she may be struggling with that she hasn’t shared with any of her other support…

That can be a messy situation for both parties and we have more to lose considering the fact that you’re a new principle who frankly, would be in a better situation with longer tenure in this case. This is why I believe that this meeting with Chandler directly is absolutely crucial to preventing this from blowing up in our faces. While I guarantee that you’ve had thoughts about declining this meeting, I would compare you to hold it and come in confident. It’s imperative that you be the voice of reason because there she and her family are very passionate about this subject. This means that no matter what they say, it is imperative that you remain cool, calm, collected and professional. This meeting could either put an end to this once and for all, or lead to her and her family becoming even angrier. Whatever you want, do not give into her demands or back down in any way. You are a new principle, meaning that members of the board as well as other parents will be testing you to access whether you will give in to their pressure easily. If you show weakness now, it will not only be exposed by Chandler’s family, but by everyone around you. She knew from the beginning that she would not qualify for the newly opened position because she doesn’t match the criteria that was previously set. The only reason she has even made such a fuss over this field trip is because…
