IILM INSTITUTE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION
“A novice cannot do a great task. A great many number of great people contribute directly or indirectly to make his work successful.”
I hereby would like to express my sincerest gratitude to this esteemed organization, which has provided me with this precious privilege to pragmatically convert theoretical knowledge into a practically viable experience.
During the course of my training at Tata Motors, Lucknow, many people have guided me and shared their knowledge with me and I will always remain indebted to them, for making my duration of training period a wonderful learning experience.
I would like to thank Ms Apoorva Kapoor (Manager, HR) without whose indelible guidance and support my report would not have been completed. She took a keen interest in my study and ensured that my tenure at Tata Motors was a thorough learning experience. The exposure to the actual working of the HR Dept that I have got here would not have been possible without her kind support.
Last but not the least, I would like to thank my faculty for providing me the opportunity to do my training in this esteemed organization and learn about the intricacies of the corporate world.
“That nothing worthwhile is ever achieved without deep thought and hard work.
That are must think for oneself and never accept at their face values slogans and catch phrases to which unfortunately our people are too easily susceptible.
That one must forever strive for excellence or even perfection, in any task however small, and never be satisfied with the second best.
That no success or achievement in material terms is worthwhile unless it serves the needs are interest of the country and its people and is achieved by fair and honest means.
That good human relation’s not only great personal rewards but is essential to the success of any atmosphere.”

In their Endeavour to further align human resource "people" practices in line with the business imperatives, TATA Motors has embarked on a project of Competency Mapping.
The company’s vision is to be among the top ten full-range automobile companies in the world, in terms of volume of vehicles and profitability. In their journey towards trying to build a world-class global organization, there are many ongoing initiatives in the organization, which are entailing its people to work in an increasingly challenging environment - in such a way, that each of them will be working smarter than their counterpart in any of the competitor companies, in India and around the world. These new and higher benchmarks that need to be met, present a challenge of thinking and working at a higher level that many will find difficult to visualize as they go about their everyday work.
During the period of two months I had the privilege to work with TATA Motors.
As a part of my summer internship I had to
• Identify Training Needs & Finalize training calendar of White collars
• Training effectiveness & its analysis
• Preparation of Training Almanac & its Release
