About PMI
PMP or Project Management Professional is one of the credential on PMI or Project Management Institute which is a not-for-profit professional organization for the project management profession with the purpose of advancing project management. PMP is a credential offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI). There are currently 618,933 active PMP certified individuals and 272 chartered chapters across 104 countries worldwide based on information from publication of PMI Today.
The Service
PMI offers a comprehensive credentialing program for project, program and portfolio management practitioners of all education and skill levels, which is:
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®)
A certificate

PMP: 7.500 hours in a position of responsibility leading and directing project tasks and 60 months of project management experience or 35 hours project management education
Must prove PM experience, there is no special requirement for bachelor degree or background education
Competency-based workplace assessment. The only thing required is to work within the PM field.
No need a special background education. Candidate should be able to plan a project schedule, know how to estimate and structure tasks and balance cost, time and functionality.
CCE: and engineering degree or a PE license.
CCC: a 4 year degree in a related discipline.
ICC: 4 years may substitute appropriate college-level academic training.
Experience requirement
CAPM: High school diploma associate degree or equivalent
PMP: High school diploma associate degree or equivalent
Level D: for people with more than 2 years of PM experiences
Level C: for anyone with more than three years of PM
