I would like to apply for Special Assistant. I work well with others, but am also self-motivated and can get things done without someone constantly reminding me what I need to do. I am the president of the Zero Waste club, and an honor student. I take pride in everything I do, and strive to go above and beyond what is expected from me. After Graduate School, I hope to have my PhD in psychology or my doctorate in psychiatry. I would like to start out working in jails, talking to criminals and analyzing their brains versus the brain of an average adult to study how the brain reacts with criminal activity and why they do and feel what they do. I have heard that a person can not do that type of work for very long because it is emotionally tasking so after that, I would like to open my own counseling practice up. I would do either marriage and family therapy or focus on teenage depression. Eventually, I would like to retire into school psychology or become a psychology teacher. Waking up in the middle of the night coughing and gasping for air occurred on a regular basis for me as a child. I slept with an inhaler and a nebulizer next to my bed in the event of the next attack. My asthma attacks were frightening for my parents and especially for me as I felt as if I was on the verge of death whenever I suddenly could not breathe. Although I was always in and out of emergency rooms and doctor visits at a young age, having tried everything from nebulizer treatments to bronchodilators, I was always comforted by the doctors and nurses who always took the time to explain and alleviate any concerns and anxiety I had. Seeing their devotion to their profession and for patient care has motivated me to pursue graduate study in the field of nursing to invest my future to coordinate and implement quality healthcare for others.…

As a youngster growing up in a small town in central Iran I used to have a vague picture of pursuing a PhD degree in America. Most everyone with whom I shared my dream of studying in USA used to volunteer an opinion that I would stand no chance to achieve such a purpose. All along there was only one single prominent person in my life who always supported me in my quest to excel in learning: My Mom. Inspired by my Mom’s support and the burning desire to prove to others that I am able to make my dreams come true I decided to draw a road map to success where first step winning admission from Allame Tabatabaei High which is the best high school in the province. It was at Allame where one of my first turning points of my life occurred; I got familiar with one of the most attractive branches of Natural Science, Physics.
