Personal Statement: A Letter To Your Honor
Your Honor,
I am writing this letter in an effort to reinstate my driving privileges prior to the original date of August 24, and if possible, immediately. This is in reference to case number 17 TR 97, 98, 99, and 351, being heard on April 6th, 2017. I hope that we can come to the agreement that due to several important issues, it would be beneficial to me both professionally for work, and personally for fun and enjoyment. Please take a moment and carefully consider each of my following reasons.
To start, it is very important to me that I am always very punctual when it comes to my professional career. Missing start times or even the whole shift is just unacceptable. My employer believes the same, and because I enjoy my job I would like

From hiking and fishing at Governor Dodge State Park to cheering on the Badgers and Brewers, I spend as much time as I can traveling and having fun before winter comes around again. With the current reinstatement date, I would miss out on that. It is important to me that I can enjoy another great summer without restraint.
In hindsight, I do realize how big of a mistake it was to get behind the wheel that night. I should never have considered driving myself home, let alone a vehicle with some of my best friends in it. With that comes a very sincere apology to both you and the entire community. Had the Law Enforcement Officer not stopped me, there is no telling if that night could have ended in an accident or even worse.
I am grateful for the opportunity to submit this for your consideration. I am truly regretful of the decision made that night, and I can promise I will be smarter in the future. Please understand that I am very much in need of a fully privileged license for both work and leisure. If there is anything else I am able to do to help my efforts, reach out to me at your earliest

There are times when people drive home under the influence of alcohol. Many times, people get home without getting pulled over by the local police department, sheriff’s department or the state patrol. Drivers who do get pulled over for drunk driving will be arrested and need to hire an attorney. Lawyers represent men and women in the courtroom, and negotiate lighter sentences with judge and district attorney’s office, there are even times when the case gets dismissed altogether even those the individual were clearly impaired behind the wheel breaking the law. My argument for my paper is whether or not there should be stricter DUI laws in the state of Wisconsin.…

There are many different views towards the topic of whether or not ones driver’s license should be permanently revoked for their first alcohol-related offense. My personal viewpoint towards this controversial and ongoing debate in our society is that a person should have more than one chance with regards to these offences. People under the age of twenty one who are involved in alcohol-related offences are not properly educated to the effects this substance has on the mind and body. Also, first time offenders, no matter their age, are not aware of the consequences their actions carry. Finally, if the offender has the disease of alcoholism there are programs to help them recover.…

A self-employed business man once said, “The best example of leadership is leading by example” (Jerry McClain). He describes a true leader, a pioneer whose morals and selflessness guide her to guide others. She is an inspiration, and a beacon of hope for all to follow. I share this passion for helping and guiding by example, and as a member of the National Junior Honor Society, I would seek to better the community just as I do every day inside and outside of the classroom.…

Driving is a privilege that people have deemed a right and some believe it is even okay to drink and drive having a license gives no one the right to endanger lives. With PEOPLE v. WATSON, the defendant had multiple DUI’s and was found guilty of second degree murder based on a theory of “implied malice.” This case left a precedent of ensuring that every person caught driving under the influence faces prosecution by signing a “Watson Advisement.” However, there is enough educational warning about the dangers of driving under the influence that even in the first DUI a person should be charged with deeper punishment.…

I knew the credit I got from my friends wouldn't be worth the consequences but only realized this after the fact. I was only in the court house for about an hour but it felt like four. I was consumed with the feeling of stupidity. I wanted nothing more then to make up my community service hours and forget about the decision I made.…

It was a long, full day of work and I was ready to get back to the dorm to relax and have some fun, after all, it was my best friends birthday. We decided to go out for his birthday dinner for him and have a few drinks before we headed out. We had music cranking, we were singing and having a good end of the week party. Drinks began passing around and we took a turn for the worst, an RA outside our door smelled alcohol. Immediately the RA told us to open up to see what was going on, as if he didn’t already know, he too is a college student. So we all knew we had been caught so we let him come in to give us our punishments and go on with our soon to be sober lives. But as he walked in the room, cops decided to take a peak at what was going on. The RA told us he was upset with the cops “randomly showing up” but I didn’t believe him, and I still don’t. The cops made the RA walk us to the sinks with our pride and joy and dump it all down the drain. He was surprised as to how cooperative we were and almost let us off the hook for a violation, but realized we were income for him. So he got the breathalyzer out, skipped our rights and handed all of us drinking tickets like he’d done many times before. I have never been so upset in my life; so mad I started punching my bed and pillow. What I thought was going to be the peak of my week turned out to go down the drain just like my Wild Turkey 101.…

Two months after I get my driver’s license, I get my very first speeding ticket. What a great way to start out driving, right? Well my parents didn’t think so. So, I’m driving home from school on this I guess you could call it a “hilly” road where the bumps are fun to ride over when speeding. It was all fun and games until I spot the cop parked at the end of the street just watching me. There was no use in slowing down. I knew he’d already clocked me at 50 in a 25. There wasn’t anyone on the road besides me, but in the passenger seat sat my best friend. I was also driving through a neighborhood. I put a lot of people in danger. I know the whole situation could have been retained if I had followed the law.…

    Ot Personal Statement

My first exposure to occupational therapy came while I was working as an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapist with a young girl with apraxia. Her speech problems had been linked to a lack of core strength, and we were to begin implementing an exercise routine to increase her strength. To achieve this goal in an enjoyable yet effective way for the child, an occupational therapist was consulted and began teaching us methods that incorporated preferred play activities into her core strengthening program. Running this new program became the highlight of our sessions, for both me and her it seemed. The smiles and giggles had me enjoying my job on a greater level; it was not only entertaining for the child, but a delight for me to implement. It was then I became extremely intrigued about the OT profession, and decided to explore the options the field had to offer. Research and curiosity eventually landed me on various websites and talking to those in the field, gaining knowledge about the different types of therapies and types of needs targeted by occupational therapists. The part that struck me most after all my research: OT is about daily life. It is about the activities that occupy our time, the small obstacles most people tackle each day with ease, obliviously unaware of the magnitude of importance these tiniest of accomplishments can truly encompass. The little everyday challenges in life are often the ones most overlooked, but to those unable or learning to conquer these challenges, their importance is evident. To me, these daily obstacles seemed like the most essential to overcome, small successes that could greatly improve an individual’s quality of life.…

My passion for healthcare started when my younger sister was diagnosed with cancer at age twelve. I spent a lot of time with her at the hospital where she was being treated. About 3 weeks ago I was written up for possession of alcohol in a dry dorm. Yes I broke a rule and take full responsibility for that. I am 21 and have been at USF for my entire 4 year career, and this is my first time ever getting written up for an alcohol violation, and in all reality, my first time being written up for anything. With that said, I got written up for a minor offense (since I am of age and wasn’t drunk or breaking any other rules), took full responsibility, took the online alcohol assessment and learned a little bit about alcohol.…

After looking over why someone should not get behind the wheel while drunk, they should take in great consideration and thought before getting behind the wheel. Crashes, impaired motor skills, and death should be strong enough reasons to put down the keys. In today's time, you definitely don’t have an excuse thanks to the inventions of Uber and Lyft. Drinking and driving doesn't just affect you, but it affects those around you. As you can see the dangers of drinking and driving are still existent, but maybe if we work together they will one day become…
