Personal Narrative: Cats Are The Dumbest Pets
My heart is beating faster than the hands of a drummer as I scream, “Cats are the dumbest pets in the world!” I forgot to close my window last night after I finished looking at the Super Moon. In the middle of the night I woke up because I felt so cold. I got up to close it and I saw that my black and fuzzy cat, Vixen wasn’t in my room anymore. I didn’t think much of it until I woke up for school. Then I realized that Vixen must have jumped out of the window and ran away. I was feeling frantic which means "desperate or wild with excitement, passion, fear, pain, etc.; frenzied." according to dictionary.com. I couldn't believe I had made such a big mistake. I knew I had to act fast.
I heard a loud scratch above my bedroom. I went to the window

I was looking everywhere but still, he was nowhere to be found. I couldn't believe it, I actually lost my cat. I started to cry and yell at myself when all of the sudden I heard a soft familiar "meow!" I turned around and I saw nothing. I was furious, I thought my cat was trying to trick me. Then I heard the meow again. I looked up to where I thought I heard him and there he was. Perched at the very top of a 40 foot tall tree. I was thrilled to see him but then I realized I had no way to get him down. I went back home to get his favorite treats and when I came back he had already gotten down about half of the tree. I shook his bag of treats and he ran straight down the truck of the tree and onto the sidewalk. I could smell the strong scent of chlorine mixed with freshly cut grass as he ate his treats. When he was done I picked him up and carried him home.
My cat can be very crazy sometimes. I have learned not to leave the window open and always keep an eye on him. I have also realized that I can't take everything for granted because one day it could be gone. Now I will take better care of my stuff and not be so careless. I am so thankful that my cat is okay and back at home. I hope that nothing like that will ever happen

That night, I once again woke up from my fitful sleep and decided to walk it off, but when I came downstairs, feeling the touch of the wooden handrail, and the pair of survivors on watch didn't wave back to me, or even blink. I exited the house, and the wind whistled as the world froze, and — suddenly there was a glimpse of someone darting through the streets. They were a cat - they moved lithely and disappeared from sight for a few seconds, then reappeared…

There's a reason cats aren't called man's best friend – and it's all in their genes, according to a new study. Cats are simply not as domesticated as dogs despite sharing households with humans for at least 9,000 years, researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine have found. The reason is because they have been able to retain their hunting skills and ability to see well during the night-time. Cats were first domesticated in the Near East about 10,000 years ago. The modern domestic cat is descended from a wild ancestor called Felis silvestris lybica. All 600 million house cats in the world have been traced back to five females of this species. They lived in the forests before they moved into villages. Ancient Egyptians worshipped…

I was almost labeled a hamster killer. The first pets i got were dwarf hamsters. I went to petsmart with my mom and picked out two hamsters that were supposedly both girls, but one ended up being a boy. One's name was Caesar and the other Felipe. They weren’t always the nicest, but that didn’t make me love them any less. There was this one time that both of my dwarf hamster's got out while i was at school. My mom told me when i got home that she closed the door to my bedroom because they had escaped. I searched everywhere in my room for them. One hamster was under my bed and the other under my sister's bed since we shared a room at the time. Hamsters always find a way to get into the hardest places to find them in. I caught the one under my sisters bed and he was fine. When i went to get the other one out something funny, but sad happened. I have bins with wheels on them that i would roll under my bed and store stuff in. I had to roll the one under my bed out to see where the hamster was because i couldn't find her. So, as im doing this my mom came in the room to see if i had caught them. I was rolling the bin out as i saw something flat squashed on the floor…

I felt expelled and exiled as they just left me there on the footpath in the chilling darkness of a Saturday night. “Get out of the car; we don’t want to be seen with you!” I can still hear those spiteful words playing over and over again in the back of my mind as I continue walking along the footpath of this unfamiliar suburb. I am completely alone with only my thoughts and the echo of my footsteps in the empty street. Upon hearing a faint resonance of a jingle, I look up again. I jump back as a black cat shoots across the path in front of me. I caught a glimpse of its dishevelled fur. It disappears, providing a screeching hiss that pierces the night air as it encounters a mammal in the undergrowth. They say a black cat at night is bad luck, but I honestly doubt my luck could have gotten any worse in light of recent events. It’s funny that the people you have loved and grown up with for almost your entire schooling journey can turn on you so effortlessly.…

    Why Cats Are Bad Pets

Cats are a bit messy. They like to sleep everywhere, and leave their hair of the couch cushions, curtains, comforter, and your clothes. They walk on your ledges, and if you have picture frames, candles, or any type of décor, they will knock it over. It’s just a given, you’ll come home to your things on the floor. It seems like every time you’re walking, or in the kitchen, they are right there by your feet, weaving too and fro as you are trying to get from one place to the other. It’s almost like they are trying to kill you. They have no respect for your personal space. If you’re sitting on one end of the couch, taking up only one cushion, they will feel obliged to jump up on your lap and stay there till you have to move. If you do move, and come back, good luck getting back on their good side, because they want nothing to do with you. They have a lot of diva in them. One minute they want every little bit of your attention, and the next they want nothing to do with you and will hiss if…

It was a cold stormy night. The house was still. I was lying in bed when I heard a series of knocks at the door. As I descended the stairs the knocks were getting louder and louder. I thought to myself, "Who could be at the door this late at night?" When I opened the door there was a tall man dressed all in black. He smelled of fish and looked like he just walked out of a mud pit. He was having car troubles and needed to use the phone. I invited him in and told him that the phone was down the hall in the living room. Instead of calling the tow truck he called his friend, George, to come pick him up. I invited him to have a cup of coffee and some cookies while he waited for his friend to pick him up. We talked for about an hour when there was another knock at the door.…

My hands didn't tremble. They were firm. My mind however was stiff. My moves were deadly. My thoughts were desperately trying hard to stop thinking about killing unicorns this particular second. I knew in my heart how retarded that was, especially because I fucking hated unicorns and it wasn't nearly as important as the bloodied intruder laying and groaning on the ground. Triumphantly, I edged closer, frypan still in my hand, angled slightly against my head. I was a panda ready to pounce.…
