Personal Narrative: A Corrupt Party
I’d like to start this off by saying that I hope for this written testimony to be private and not released to the public. The GOP was a corrupt party that I am ashamed to be apart of. I was lured in by hopes of activity, military growth, and stability. However, this all came crashing down in the first few days. I had planned to resign from my position on Monday or Tuesday after finding startling information. However, due to the lack of time, I didn’t. I wasn’t going to after SalvatorePaterson shut down the party himself. Numerous things led me to having the urge to resign a position I had such great respect for. One of the main ones were the corruption within the party. I have many screenshots of this fault within GOP leadership. One prime

Reporting party (RP) stated that she came to visit her grandmother, Violet Cavallo (age 93, DOB: 12/7/23) who is on hospice on 2/18/17 and 2/19/17. RP lives in Oregon. When she arrived at 10:30 am on 2/18/17, she found resident slumped over in her wheelchair; her chin resting on her chest, sleeping. RP woke her up, she notice that the resident could not change her position; she was slumped over to her left side and her neck was tilted at a slightly unnatural angle. RP asked staff if there was something that could be done about her posture and one of the caregivers brought a pillow and stuffed it between the armrest of the wheelchair and her body. The 2016 Presidential Election was easily the most negative Election in recent history. Apart from my policy disagreements with President Elect Trump, I am morally repulsed by his conduct. My Hispanic friends were offended by the insinuation a that Mexican immigrants were criminals and a unwanted burden on the United States. My female friends were terrified by his misogyny and open, joking (at best) attitude towards sexual assault. I was disgusted by his disdain for the environment and the truth.…

When I was a little older, I became more observant to the issues and concerns of my peers around me. I started to see the equality issues that surrounded my friends everyday. People would make fun of me for the color of my skin, my homosexual friends would get bullied for loving who they did, and my female friends would always be expected to do less and be less than my their male counterparts.…

    Tea Party Ideology

Since the inauguration of President Obama, we have watched with horror how the Tea Party has taken over the GOP. What started up as a bunch of disgruntled misfits, has mushroomed into a larger movement and taken over the Republican Party. Arguably, they were aided and abetted by the libertarian oligarchs, David and Charles Koch’s hidden interests which financed and supported the groups with huge donations to their “cause” and candidates running on Tea Party platform. Gradually, we have seen GOP abandon its conservative core beliefs and shamelessly acquiesced to the irresponsible demands of this fringed group. The result is what is today the unrecognizable and clearly the un-conservative party formerly known as the GOP. Among other things, the Tea Party demanded ideological purity, views compromise as weakness, believes in fundamentalist scriptural literalism, vehemently denies scientific truths and are unmoved by facts or deterred by new information. They have a hostile fear of progress and actively demonize anyone who believes in education. They, like most conservatives have an inordinate desire…

Filled with nervous excitement, my ten-year-old-self ran to the bulletin board eager to discover whether or not he was accepted to the choir. As he read the list of who were chosen, his heart sank; he was not on the list. “Maybe I should give up singing ” he thought; “Maybe my voice is not good enough”. However, he refused to despair; he was determined to achieve his goals despite this failure.…

If I were to describe my political ideology, I would consider myself mostly liberal with some independent views. I believe in equality for everyone, regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, etc. I think Americans need to be a little more accepting, and open to reaching out and helping those in need. This country needs to continue moving forward and growing, and I do not see that happening with a conservative in charge.…

What is your vision for America? In my vision for America I think we could change and improve many things. My vision for America would be my ultimate utopia.
