Personal Development Plan Analysis
My Personal Development Plan
The personal development plan is a reflection tool that assist with personal or professional goals. This tool is designed to help visualize your journey by identifying your goals and objectives, conducting a self-assessment and developing a plan to acquire the competencies needed to excel in your educational or professional career. The personal development plan allows a person to take control of my destiny. However one cannot succeed unless they take action to reach their destiny. Therefore, I have taken the next step in my journey by enrolling in Cardinal Stritch University to obtain my Masters in Business Administration, which will take me one step further to becoming a healthcare administrator at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

I realized that my family was the most influential people in my life, and their caring nature has molded me into who I am today. During, my reflection period I realized that my grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles were leaders. They were religious leaders, business leaders, and community leaders. Although, my choices in life altered my career outcome, I would not change any decision that I have made. I am where I need to be at the moment, enrolled at CSU business and management cohort program.
Currently, I am Senior Administrative Assistant at MCW. My duties include completing various special projects, which require reviewing and analyzing information, identifying problems, recommending solutions and writing reports. I function as the division liaison with academic administration, internal and outside vendors, community partners and faculty members. I maintain a budget for a $750,000 grant, while coordinating community medicine rotation for medical students.

My Professional Development Plan at this moment is to obtain all the knowledge of life lessons and professional skills that I can obtain in this class and use it to better myself. So far there is nothing much that I have learned about myself that I’m already aware of. Hopefully as I progress through the next 6 weeks I may learn something new about myself. There have been interesting assessment’s that I have completed within the last two weeks. They are the following: Jungian Typology (Bauer & Erdogan, 2013) after completing that assessment the result stated that I’m an introvert which is true, but not 100% I’m reserve when I’m at work or out on events, but at home with friends and family I’m outgoing and verbal. Now this is something that I need to work on and be more extrovert and get out of being reserve.…

I did not understand the value and the importance of education until I migrated to America. Coming to America, not only did I get culture shock, but I realized that I could not survive in this country without education. However, to raise my children, I would not rely on the government. I had to start from the beginning by learning ABCs, words, and grammar. This was very difficult to do because I already had my Master’s in Mathematics from my native country. I received my Associate of Science in Mathematics in June 2002 at Los Angeles City College. I continued my education and received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in June 2006 at Cal State University. It took me years and years finally get to where I am today. I made countless sacrifices, but it has been one of the most gratifying and important decisions I had made in my whole life. Now I am pursuing my education to get DBA at Walden University.…
