The Constitution Café written by Christopher Phillips is mainly about the viewpoints of students around the country and what could be different about the Constitution. While the majority of the students from the meetings feel like there should be a few things added to the articles of the Constitution, because things are different today than when it was first written in 1787. After reading the story Sucker I believe that the character Sucker is not a living, breathing person. He was created by the main character out of psychological need to help him in his daily activities. I think Sucker is a make believe person in the characters mind that he uses to reflect and interpret his emotions as well as what's going on in his life. Sucker is not a real person because he usually, or almost never, interferes with things going on. Therefore, it is almost as if he's not even there. For example, at the very start of the story where it says: “Sucker slept in my bed with me but that didn't interfere with anything.” This supports my idea because it shows that Sucker is like a ghost or spirit.…

When it comes down to choosing the best childcare option for your child, the first factor that most parents look at is: what that particular child needs. Now, there is nothing wrong with that, but there are a number of factors that needs to be considered prior to making that final choice. The decision of whether to send your child to a commercial daycare center or an in-home family childcare should depend on more than just the need of the child. Parents need to also consider environment, cost, certification, daily schedules, and provider to child ratios.…

Reading The Ballad of the Sad Café was a very enlightening experience for me. I was completely absorbed into the dark and isolated town of Cheehaw and the events that played out in it. Various characters in the novella repulsed me, such as Cousin Lymon, who was utterly callous and manipulative, and the small-minded townsfolk. Elements such as Miss Amelia’s heartbreak and loneliness, the complete isolation and joylessness in the town also saddened me very much, for I felt like the townspeople did not have much to live for.…

And now that his kids were old enough, they worked there in the summers too.…

There exists a law in the province of Quebec, which prohibits a parent(s) from leaving any child under the age of twelve (12) unattended or unsupervised by an adult for any given period of time. (Immigration Quebec) This law, without the services offered by daycares and childcare centers, would be impossible to follow due to both work and study.
