Outline the role of the team leader ILM Lv 2

The team leader role is an impartial role that supports all employees on the audit team. The team leader plays an important role in guiding the team members and motivating them to stay focused.
The team leader should be an all rounder and made up of various different attributes. A team leader should be approachable and employees should be able to approach and discuss all relevant issues with their team leader and not feel put off by seeking help and information.
The team leader should be supportive and help develop employees on their team, they should be able to coach employees giving direction and offering effective ways to create new learning opportunities for them. The team leader should be firm but fair, motivational and charismatic enhancing progress within their team. The team leader should be trustworthy and honest so they have overall respect within their team, they should be loyal not addressing employees issues to others.
The team leader should be reasonable, flexible, show recognition and should be able to deliver constructive feedback with food for thought. A team leader should show integrity, be courageous, and should be observant with good listening skills and someone who can use humor in a way that relaxes employees at the right time. Most of all a team leader should be a good communicator, this would be to employees and senior management. A problem solver to ensure the team is not under pressure with a sensible head delivering good guidance and results.
The team leader my sees four very different roles, these include Autocratic, Paternalistic, Democratic and Laizze Faire as explained below:
Autocratic:
At the beginning when I took leadership I had to show my autocratic approach to the team to ensure I was enlisting the best methods possible to get appropriate results that would lead to KPI’s and SLA’s being met. As an autocratic leader I was able to make decisions to show the team I was capable of
