The firm got its start by working with insurance companies. A standard feature in many automobile insurance policies is the provision of a rental car when one’s personal car has been in an accident or has been stolen.Firms like Hertz and Avis charge a relatively high daily rates because their customers need the convenience of being ear the airport or have their expenses paid by their employers. These rates are higher than insurance companies are willing to pay, so customers who use these firms end up paying part of the rental bills themselves. What do you think of when you hear “Enterprise Rent-A-Car”? Do you think of “We’ll pick you up”—the catchphrase that reflects the company’s willingness to come to your door when your car’s in the shop or you’re ready to take a trip? You probably don’t think “largest rental car company in the United States” or “hires more college grads than any other company.” Both of those descriptions are true, however. The company started in St. Louis when Jack Taylor opened a tiny auto-leasing business and named it after the aircraft carrier on which he’d served. When the company transitioned to car rentals, it retained its downtown locations, focusing on leisure rentals and auto insurer referrals rather than the airport business travelers. This unique business model allowed it to grow beyond the notice of competitors like Hertz, which paid little attention to Enterprise until it began advertising nationally in 1989 with images of that car wrapped in brown paper, on its way to a customer pick up.…

My friends and I use to do our movie rental at DVD King video shop based in CBD of Windhoek. One day I noticed that they write down the name and the phone numbers of each customer and also which movies are being rented out, and again customers taking time in the shelves searching for the desired movies to rent. This incident got me thinking as to how can I make a video rental system, make it very easy to use, and implement it on any system if possible, so I came to conclusion to make a web-based interface system that would be platform independent.…
