Danica, I really enjoyed what you had to say regarding that taking shortcuts only increases the risk of a patient getting an infectious disease. I am nursing in the fall and found it very interesting that you have watched many staff members going from room to room without washing their hands. This can be a very big hazard in the sense that the previous patient could have had an infection and then it is now passed on to the next patient. I also believe that washing your hands is a very important step to take to prevent spreading infectious diseases. Although I have not yet started nursing, since watching this video and becoming more aware of the cleanness in healthcare facilities that I will be more aware of what others are doing around me.

    The spread of infection can be prevented with the help of correct personal hand hygiene.
