Narayana Murthy
Mr. Narayan Murthy was born in a middle class family in Siddalghat in Karnataka, His father inculcated importance of determination, discipline and good values. Since childhood he had a very good academic record.

His attitude towards Job

•His Underlying principle towards Job:
Is that, you undertake to do something you are confident of and have the capability to do it. This helps to lay the foundation to build a healthy relationship. He also believes that it is better to have a small part of a large, growing Job; than a large part of small shrinking Job.

•Under-promising & Over-delivering:
He has tremendous respect for people and sound philosophy of “under-promising & over delivering”. This helps him build a healthy long-term relationship with his colleagues, employees, family, friends, business associates and network of shareholders.

•Pioneer in HRM:
Mr. Murthy says that his is an HR-based industry. Software is a knowledge business hence the focus is shifted to Brainware. It was he who started ESOP’s that is real distribution of wealth. Now it is very common in the industry to have ESOP’s but it has done wonders in Infosys. Thus Narayan Murthy is honestly awe-inspiring role model for professionals.

•Performance Oriented:
He is a man who always measures performance against value. According to Murthy peoples performance in the knowledge industry is as valuable as gold. Thus by introducing ESOP’s he motivated his employees to work smart and hard.

•Strategy: (Customer is the King):
Even though there is a lot of competition in the market he believes in one thing that is, being unique in the market place and making sure that you are the 1st mover.

Tap the need of the customer and give them more than they expect. Believes in giving value to the customer, being fair to people and transparency in working.
Mr. Murthy says that “Growth comes from repeat business, repeat business comes from relationships, and relationships with customers

In Elon musk's biography Ashley shapes him as a mad scientist, a crazy businessman ,and a unusual introvert. This book provides snippets of musks view of certain events described by his friends, family, and empylooes. To me musk seems like an individual who strives for getting across his side of a story. This allows musk to elevate his righteous thinking to the publics eyes. What I found supers singly new about the book is that musk is a very strict boss.he does not take a no from his employees.if a certain job can't be done he expects a full on expiation of why it doesn't work.this musician style of business is very relatable to his financials.he is always interest in producing a cheaper products than his competitor but at a greater…

    1. Simon Brocklebank Fowler is a great CEO and an even better leader. He can sell anything. Simon obviously has perfected many organizational behavior concepts as he has grown throughout his lifetime even though he did not elaborate on which ones specifically. Simon went to Cambridge, which is a top level secondary school in the UK. Simon ended up switching from a history major to finance and ended up working for a bank. Simon also ended up running for Parliament but was unsuccessful, although he did learn a lot through that experience. Along with working for a bank, Simon also has worked for a consultant agency and as a price performance salesman. He worked for a failing franchise and had to sell things straight on his credibility alone. Simon stated that he had to do a lot of research to help sell his pitch to his consumers. He ended up being promoted in 3 months because he worked so hard on his pitches and was blowing all of the veterans out of the water. He then ended up going to Citigate, which is a smaller firm, but he actually had people working for him which gave him leverage. Citigate went from 200 to 2,000 people in 4 years in different countries making this company a global company. By making Citigate a global company, their profits grew significantly in size and increased the brand recognition of Citigate. Simon is a great leader in many ways. When he walks into a room, you can feel his presence. Simon does not only look in the presence, but in the future as well. He told our class, “ask yourself ever year what does success look like in 1 year? How about in 10 years?” Simon knows that the world is always adapting and is telling us we have to adapt with it if we want to be successful. Simon is also always trying to get better. He told us, “Is what your doing right now making your boat go faster?” This means that whatever your focus is on today, is it going to help…

“How timely! How needed it is for one of the finest human beings, industrial leaders, and philanthropists on the planet to compellingly drill down on timeless, universal values for business and life. This book edifies, inspires, and motivates all of us to model these common sensical lessons for our organizations, all our relationships, and especially our posterity—for what is common sense is obviously not common practice. Primary greatness is character and contribution. Secondary greatness is how most people define success—wealth, fame, position, etc. Few have both. Jon’s one of them.”…
