1. Agency Context:

Heaven’s Gate Agency is a non-profit organization that focuses on coordinating children, adolescents, and adults to the appropriate agencies that may be needed to help in cases of financial, psychological, or family programs. The main goal of Heaven’s Gate is to provide services for individuals or families in need of services that they may be in need due to uncontrollable circumstances. In this project, the two students I consulted with Teri Kantor and Linda Moreno.

• Residence: Lives with his parents
• Felonies: Is currently on parole for burglary
• Skills: No specific job skills besides some lawn and garden work
3. Referral Source A. Jimmy was referred by Jose Alvarez, who is his parole officer. Jimmy was recently released form the California State Penitentiary. Mr. Alvarez has mandated Jimmy to seek services that he needs in order to reestablish him into society and to hamper any chances of a revisit to prison. Along with this, he will be seeking counseling to kindle a relationship with his son. Jimmy will me meeting with a social worker and then a plan of action will be determined in accordance to Jimmy’s needs.
B. Presenting Problem: The main presenting problem with Jimmy is his constant clash with the criminal justice system. Jimmy has run into trouble with the law on more than a few occasions and the goal is to make sure that Jimmy can stay out of trouble with the law and to end his cycle of prison visits. Along with this, Jimmy has no education or job training which makes it hard for him to attain a good job in order to support himself. He

    Jimmy Valentine is a guy who has broken into several safes and stolen thousands of dollars. He was taken to jail as soon as the police found him, however broke out before finishing his full sentence. After robbing several more safes using his trusty tools that he made himself, he scurried off to Logansport, Indiana. He went there to open a shoe business, and see how robbing worked in that part of town. There he saw place called Elmore bank and was on his way to rod it when he saw the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. That's when everything started to change he started to become a better man; he made friends with almost everyone in the town, his shoe business was really hitting it off, and he was going to be married to the girl that she saw in the bank. He wrote a letter to an old friend of his to give him his tools because he was not going to rod anymore.
